In a fresh update, the widely acclaimed battle royale game, Fortnite, has rolled out a brand new experience – Blitz Royale. This exciting mode, tailored specifically for mobile gamers, accommodates up to 32 players in an action-packed battle royale setting. The thrilling event will be available until July 15, and players can expect a range of rewards, frequent updates to weekly loot pools, and new weapons appearing every week.

Jump into short, fast-paced matches with fair gameplay in Fortnite Blitz Royale

In case you weren’t aware, Fortnite has re-emerged on the mobile scene! It’s now available once more on the App Store in the United States and across Europe through the Epic Games Store. To sweeten the deal, Epic Games has introduced a brand new mode called Fortnite Blitz Royale, specifically tailored for mobile gaming. In fact, each match only lasts around five minutes.

Experience a fresh wave with revamped gameplay, novel events, and exciting rewards – a brand-new outfit and an umbrella to boot! (Oh, and did I mention it’s all new?)

In this game setup, each player starts off with a unique Medallion and random weapon, all on a compact map to ensure a level playing field. The objective is to endure while eradicating opponents to boost your Blitz rank. As you advance, you’ll gain access to more powerful weapons and perks called Boons.

As a fan, I have an exciting opportunity to engage in the game with different options: play alone (solo), team up with another player (duos), or join a larger group (squad). In these matches, I can search for and open Golden Chests and Golden Supply Drops to collect additional Medallions and power-ups. By triumphing in three Blitz games, I will be rewarded with the Blitz Brella Glider, and by either reaching Acc level 10 or placing among the top 10 in 20 matches, I’ll receive the Blitz Knight Outfit. However, remember that this limited-time offer is available only until July 15.

Blitz Royale brings Weekly Events, IP Crossovers, and a new Training Mode

To clarify, this operation continues until July 15th, offering four weekly installments filled with engaging game events.

  • Week 1 has added the Mythic version of weapons like the Rocket Ram, in the rare Golden Llama.
  • Week 2 (June 24) will introduce Avatar: The Last Airbender crossover, bringing Bending Scrolls and Avatar-themed map changes.
  • Week 3 (July 1) will add boss weapons like Thorne’s Vampiric Blade and the new Blitz Chain of Hades, replacing Bending Scrolls.
  • Lastly, Week 4 (July 8) ends with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Melee Mayhem, adding TMNT weapons, Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists, the Mythic Typhoon Blade, Blitz Kneecapper, and more.

I’m looking forward to testing out this novel game feature. Moreover, Epic Games has rolled out a fresh game mode called “Training Grounds“. This new mode takes over from Team Rumble and features unlimited respawns. In this mode, you can engage in battles confined to a single location, without the requirement for building structures. It’s reminiscent of the Blitz mode in terms of gameplay.
