The documentary titled “In the Footsteps of Killers” has sparked a split opinion among viewers and commentators. A spectator on IMDb stated that they found it fascinating to follow the duo as they delved into their methods.
However, someone else found the true crime series quite peculiar, remarking: “Why, for goodness sake? The production quality of this scripted ‘documentary’ is atrocious. The camera work is shoddy and I wouldn’t recommend spending your valuable time on it.
One observer remarked that the structure of the performance was unusual, pointing out that the sequences where the two characters were collecting data were awkward and embarrassing to watch, as they seemed to be poorly enacted and written.
From the perspective of the critics, Lucy Mangan from The Guardian opined that the series might cause your spirit to shudder, and it seems almost impossible for viewers not to feel slighted or disrespected as if being ever so slightly spit on by the entire production team.
The i Paper found the show to be “gimmicky” and even “in poor taste,” whereas Decider felt it offered a “fresh, heartwarming perspective” that could have otherwise been just another routine crime series in a crowded genre.
Fox has gained significant recognition for portraying Dr. Nikki Alexander on the popular BBC crime show, Silent Witness, a role she took up back in 2004.
This year, shortly after his passing, she expressed her deep affection for series creator Nigel McCrery, describing him as both kind and warmhearted.
You can now stream “Walking in the Path of Assassins” on Channel 4. On the other hand, “Silent Witness” is currently airing on BBC One.
