Rebel Wilson looked poised and ready to fight at the Los Angeles premiere of her action Bride Hard.

In the movie, the actress known for her role in Pitch Perfect, who is now 45 years old, takes on the role of the maid of honor. The plot unfolds around a mercenary group seizing a wedding as hostages. However, it is revealed that her character, Rebel, secretly works as an agent.

In the thrilling action movie, numerous stunts are performed, with a significant number being executed by Meredith Richardson, who stood in for the character Rebel.

Nevertheless, during filming, Rebel unfortunately encountered an unexpected mishap that left her facial features significantly altered, necessitating surgery on her nose. This incident resulted in a potentially long-term change to her appearance.

Appearing to have made a full recovery, Rebel attended the Los Angeles premiere of the movie, where she was joined by her fellow Pitch Perfect cast member, Anna Camp, at the DGA Theater Complex on a Wednesday evening.

The rebellious woman confidently displayed her svelte silhouette in a vibrant, eye-catching scarlet dress with a deep neckline and structured shoulders, as she gracefully strutted along the crimson carpet.

She was joined by You star Anna, who who looked glamorous in a mint green sleeveless sequin gown.  

Also in attendance were their co-stars Anna Chlumsky, Gigi Zumbado Justin Hartley and Sherry Cola.

Recently, it was disclosed that Rebel experienced an unforeseen incident, often referred to as an accident, during the production of her latest movie, Bride Hard. This event came close to causing permanent alterations to her facial appearance.

In an intense battle sequence during the final day of filming, the actress disclosed that she took a hard blow to her nose, causing a noticeable amount of blood to accumulate.

Luckily, Rebel was quickly sent to see a plastic surgeon who stitched her up.

In a recent conversation, Rebel recounted an unexpected incident where a gun struck his face. It was purely a fluke occurrence that caused his nose to bleed profusely, prompting him to leave the set.

‘It was weirdly my last night of shooting. I was like, “How unlucky can I be?”‘

In conversation with Access Hollywood, she went on to say: “I was terrified. They sent an ambulance, and they had to contact a cosmetic surgeon immediately, as failure to do so could have left me with permanent scarring.

‘So, we got the plastic surgeon, they did all the stitches, and you can’t tell now.’

In the forthcoming action-comedy movie, Sam is the covert character played by our rebellious actor, who shares the screen with Anna, a familiar face from the Pitch Perfect series.

Under the direction of Simon West and script penned by Shaina Steinberg, this film narrates the story of Sam (Wilson). In the narrative, we see Sam fulfilling her role as maid of honor at the extravagant wedding of her long-time friend. However, a twist unfolds when the wedding is seized by mercenaries.

Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, Stephen Dorff, and Justin Hartley also star.

During their interview on the Today show, Rebel mentioned that the upcoming movie has a lot of humor and a lot of exciting action as well. The movie is scheduled to be released on June 20th.

‘I kick butt… it was hardcore.’

The rebel mentioned further that she performed every thrilling action scene in the film personally, requiring no assistance from a stand-in performer for such feats.

She shared that she dabbled in karate during her younger years, and at one point, when she was 18 and quite reckless, she participated in a high-profile martial arts tournament. However, during the competition, she received a punch to the face, which made her realize that fighting wasn’t her cup of tea.

However, it seems like there may have been some residual muscle memory since I was responsible for all the fighting scenes in this film, including fending off the mercenaries attempting to disrupt the wedding.

‘It was really fun.’ 

On the 16th of June, the rebel was seen making appearances around New York City. In some snaps taken by photographers, she confidently showcased her slimmer physique in a vibrant red jumpsuit, featuring a V-shaped neckline and stylish, boxy shoulders reminiscent of the past.

The attractive outfit was fastened around the midriff with a corresponding belt made from the same material, while Rebel completed the look with a pair of sharp-toed red shoes.

She matched her makeup to her appearance, using a raspberry-tinted lipstick and a warm, rose-hued blush. Her long, golden hair cascaded in loose, dreamy waves, and she opted for minimal accessories.
