Doja Cat slams ‘crazy’ fan as she claims he kissed and touched her without permission during viral encounter

In a heated online discussion, Doja Cat stirred controversy when she claimed that a fan had inappropriately touched her without consent during a recent run-in at an event.

That instant became popular on TikTok when Pablo Tamayo, a fan, shared a video of him enthusiastically engaging with the singer outside a performance venue.

In the video, Pablo mentions that he’s going to pass his shirt on to Doja Cat because she embodies an iconic image, and then he removes his shirt and hands it to her.

Next, he embraces her, and she loops an arm around his midriff. Meanwhile, he supports her with his hands on her shoulder area, all the while carrying on their conversation.

“Pablo labeled the video as, ‘If Doja Cat appreciates your t-shirt, you hand it over to her,’ and ‘I adore you @dojacat.'”

This version maintains the original meaning while using simpler language and a more conversational tone.

After the video became popular, Doja Cat responded to the situation in a now-deleted tweet on X, saying: ‘Ultimately, just because I may smile at you doesn’t mean I’m sleeping with you or that you should grab and manhandle me without knowing me better. Understood?’

She went into more detail, stating, “Honestly, I believe it’s important for me to assert myself when necessary. And here’s the surprising part – he didn’t even know who I was while inappropriately touching and kissing me on the face, which is absolutely unbelievable.

She added, ‘I threw that musty ass shirt away btw.’

In subsequent interactions with fans, Doja Cat addressed their queries by stating, “He had a nice scent, but I wasn’t fond of his lack of consent while touching me and kissing me.

When someone wondered if she appeared to enjoy the conversation, she responded, ‘To be honest, I was quite intoxicated, so I’m not sure how to explain it.’

DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives of Doja Cat for comment.

Fans were quick to weigh in on social media.

In a passionate outburst, I might express it like this: “One statement implied that Doja Cat loathes her adoring followers, whereas another suggested she’s casting us as the antagonist due to her struggles with establishing boundaries.

Others were more sympathetic to the fan’s perspective.

Picture this scenario: Encountering your most admired artist, only to later find her criticizing you harshly on social media and coming across as unkempt. It would certainly make me feel awkward.

Still, some came to Doja’s defense.

One fan commented, “I believe her emotions in the video are perfectly fine. She seemed calm for the camera, and I realized later that she’s adept at changing narratives. She indeed gave a convincing performance, making me initially think it was a heartwarming interaction with a fan.

They went on to say, ‘I believe there’s a significant mix-up here; she has every right to feel violated, while he perceived it as positive energy and his feelings appear sincere, like fan adoration. I hope they discuss this matter and find resolution, as I don’t see either party at fault. It seems more like a misunderstanding rather than wrongdoing. Let us not direct hostility towards either of them.’

Pablo responded to the backlash with a follow-up TikTok addressing the controversy.

He expressed his need to clarify a situation that was causing him discomfort, stating, ‘I want to make things clear because it bothers me.’ He went on to explain, ‘I adore her… I find it surprising because she’s the one at this gathering who has been so kind. She even complimented my shirt and said, “I like that.”‘

He explained that she asked for the shirt after learning it was from his new Pride collection.

Currently, she’s tweeting that she discarded the old-smelling shirt, that I wasn’t aware of her name, and that I behaved roughly with her. I get it if I may have been overly kind or something like that. I accept full responsibility for my actions.

I’m homosexual, and I value her immensely. I wouldn’t want her to feel uneasy in any way, given how influential she is. All my comments about her have always been positive.

Pablo went on, stating that he “never intended to make her uneasy,” and further explained that he wouldn’t have shown the video if she hadn’t given her consent.

Allow me to express my regret if any mistakes were made, yet remember, I’m just as human as you. Perhaps this situation serves as a reminder that not everyone truly embodies the persona they project in real life.

In a cheeky move, Pablo is now selling a t-shirt with the phrase ‘Musty ass shirt’ printed on it.

He advertised the latest merchandise with the caption on TikTok, “If she’s pushing her album, I’m pushing my fashion line.

One fan chimed in after the shirt went up for sale, ‘It’s getting even more messy.’
