New Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reality TV show Stranded on Honeymoon Island cast is finally revealed – after release date was pushed back by six months

Channel Seven has revealed the list of potential lovers who will be featured on their upcoming dating program titled “Island of Romantic Vacation.

On June 23rd, the eagerly anticipated series unfolds, focusing on twelve singletons who find themselves marooned on an isolated island for 21 days without any possibility of rescue.

Presented by well-known radio personality Jackie O’ Henderson, this format draws inspiration from a successful Danish idea and has been tailored for Australian audiences by Endemol Shine Australia.

As a lifestyle advisor, let me share an intriguing scenario I’ve designed for couples seeking adventure and bonding: After a whirlwind speed dating event, you find your ideal match and are whisked away to a serene tropical paradise, both of you still adorned in your wedding finery. Here, there are no phones or connections to the outside world, allowing you to focus solely on each other and the breathtaking surroundings. This unique experience is designed to strengthen relationships and create unforgettable memories.

On Honeymoon Island, the couples encounter daily relationship challenges while attempting to endure basic living circumstances.

In the main lineup, we have a 30-year-old TikTok sensation and humorist from Queensland named Amy, teamed up with Mike, a 38-year-old television presenter hailing from New South Wales.

An early trailer revealed sparks fly between Amy and her match – for the wrong reasons.

From the beginning, the two individuals’ dominant personalities collide, as Amy resists being led and Mike is accustomed to taking charge.

Also starring in the series is Brie from Victoria.

A 29-year-old individual, skilled in both singing and dancing, has been paired with Byron, a 34-year-old electrician from Queensland who’s been unattached for the past two years.

Emily, a 29-year-old executive residing in Victoria, who’s been unattached for seven years, has been matched with Tom, a 30-year-old business analyst hailing from the Australian Capital Territory.

Currently, career coach Dani, aged 35, is eagerly waiting for a romantic connection to develop between herself and Queensland native, performer and music producer Emanuel, also 35.

Georgia, a flight attendant aged 35, is currently enjoying a honeymoon on Honeymoon Island with her partner Chad, a 47-year-old anthropology specialist, who, like her, hails from the state of Victoria.

Completing the lineup are two competitors hailing from New South Wales – Jess, aged 38, a professional relationship coach, and Sam, a 31-year-old personal trainer who is her counterpart.

After facing a six-month delay due to controversies happening off-screen, the release of this series was eventually postponed.

Initially scheduled for broadcast at the end of 2024, the program unexpectedly got cancelled by Seven, with actors unaware of its fate.

According to Daily Mail Australia’s earlier report, the contestants were upset due to the extended period of silence from the network. One unnamed bride expressed her frustration: “We’ve had enough. We’ve all paused our lives for this, and now we’re just stuck here, waiting for a decision.

She noted that some people have progressed and begun new romantic ventures, including a fellow who actually proposed to his partner in reality. She found it disrespectful to continue being bound by the contract without having clarity about their future.

We’ve been instructed to remain silent, avoid forming relationships, and abstain from posting on social media. Essentially, we’re living as if in a prison, while Seven seems to be playing mind games with us.

Many others shared comparable feelings, stating that they had been misled into thinking the show was a quick path towards becoming influencers. However, they found themselves back in their ordinary jobs after spending several months in an uncertain state.

‘It’s just been a rollercoaster of uncertainty,’ one insider shared.

They initially informed us about a specific date for the show, but kept postponing it repeatedly. There’s no clear indication yet as to when the series will be broadcasted, and it seems that even the cast members have not received any updates.

‘All we’ve been given is silence and broken promises.’

According to insider reports, there was optimism within the production team that the program would match or surpass the viewership of shows like Married at First Sight and The Block. In an attempt to attract more viewers, they invested significantly to bring on Jackie O as a cast member.

Stranded On Honeymoon Island premieres June on Channel Seven and 7plus on June 23.
