Anne Burrell’s sad final post as new details about the Food Network star’s shock death at 55 emerge

The last poignant message on social media from popular Food Network personality, Anne Burrell, has come to light following the unexpected passing of this remarkable woman at the age of 55.

On Tuesday morning, the well-known television cook, known for hosting Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-hosting Worst Cooks in America, tragically passed away at her apartment in Brooklyn, New York.

At exactly 7:50 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, police were dispatched to a scene involving a 55-year-old woman who appeared to be unconscious and unresponsive, according to People’s report.

Once Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrived, they ‘pronounced [Burrell] deceased on scene.’

In a heartfelt declaration, Burrell’s relatives sadly announced her sudden demise without disclosing the reason behind it.

The Office of Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy on Burrell’s remains to establish the exact cause of his demise.

Although the authorities didn’t identify the deceased as Burrell in their statement, People magazine verified that the star’s residence corresponds to the one given by the police.

Four days prior to her death at her New York home, Burrell shared what turned out to be her last message with her 673,000 Instagram followers.

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t hide my excitement when I share this incredible encounter! You see, the radiant star posted a snapshot of herself next to none other than the legendary Green Lady of Brooklyn – a woman renowned for her lush green tresses and all-green attire. Incredibly, we crossed paths on the bustling city street!

Next to The Green Lady, who goes by Elizabeth Eaton Rosenthal in reality, Burrell smiled, capturing their delightful meeting in the post’s caption.

‘I ran into @greenladyofbrooklyn in my neighborhood today!!’ she began.

I must confess, I’ve been observing her closely. There might have been a brief instance where I trailed behind her on the street for a moment. However, she’s simply delightful!

Burrell concluded the post with the hashtags #ilovewhatido and #luckygirl.

Burrell’s family confirmed her passing in a statement obtained by People on Tuesday afternoon.

According to a statement shared with People, Anne was cherished as a wife, sibling, daughter, stepmother, and friend; wherever she went, her radiant smile brightened the space.

‘Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world.

‘Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.’

She is left behind by her husband Stuart Claxton, whom she married in October 2021 during a wedding celebration with an autumn theme in her birthplace, Cazenovia, New York.

Heartbroken fans have already flooded to leave comments on Burrell’s most recent Instagram post.

‘This doesn’t seem right. Chef Anne was always vibrant, funny, full of energy, and reminded me of my mom. I’m deeply saddened. May you find peace in Heaven and continue to cook delicious meals for us.’
