Nicole Scherzinger ‘shelves her upcoming solo album’ following Broadway success
I, a devoted fan, can’t help but share the news that seems too good to be true – my beloved Nicole Scherzinger appears to have postponed the release of her long-awaited solo album. This decision comes after her outstanding success on Broadway, which has left me absolutely thrilled!
I, as a dedicated fan, find myself reflecting on the singer, now 45 years old, who made headlines for cancelling The Pussycat Dolls reunion shows in 2022. It’s been quite some time since she graced us with a solo album following her 2014 dance-pop record, Big Fat Lie, which unfortunately did not make it onto the charts.
In 2022, it was reported that she was working on an album, but surprisingly, she made her stage debut as Norma Desmond in “Sunset Boulevard” in London the year after.
Later, the production moved to Broadway, garnering her not only a Tony but also a Laurence Olivier Award.
It’s been reported that Nicole poured a significant amount of money into her album following her departure from her record label in 2015.
According to the source, things were falling into place and she was looking for a group to launch it when Sunset Boulevard presented itself.

‘They mentioned that they had intended to reexamine the album following the conclusion of the West End production last year. However, the show unexpectedly moved to Broadway, and as a result, she now finds herself with numerous enticing opportunities.
She’s at an entirely new stage in her life compared to when she created the album, hence it remains unused or unpublished.
TopMob has contacted Nicole Scherzinger’s representative for comment.
Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber has praised Nicole as one of the most talented singer-actresses he’s witnessed performing his work. He finds her to be bold, both musically and dramatically.
Following the Tony Awards a week ago, Nicole shared an Instagram video featuring her performance of a Sunset Boulevard song during the event.
In her excited post, she shared that singing ‘As If We Never Said Goodbye’ was a long-awaited moment for her.
Or
In her effusive post, she expressed that performing ‘As If We Never Said Goodbye’ was a cherished dream come to life for her.
This note is a heartfelt expression of my affection for the stage. It’s also meant for those who share an intense enthusiasm for your craft – consider it a small token for you as well.
As a humbled admirer, I can’t express enough what an incredible privilege it is for me to serenade you all with my music. You’ve been the foundation beneath my wings, always nurturing and uplifting me. Gratitude doesn’t even begin to cover it; I am forever indebted.
In her acceptance speech after winning the Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, Nicole expressed: ‘Growing up, I often felt out of place. Yet, with your acceptance, I feel like I truly belong, and now, I have found my way back home.’

In my own words, let me express gratitude to my partner, Thom Evans. He’s one who continually instills faith in me, even on the days when I momentarily lose belief in myself.
She additionally expressed: “It’s such an honor to be acknowledged among these remarkable female warriors in this particular category. I am deeply grateful to each and every one of you for helping make real this young woman’s dream from Hawaii, Ukraine, or the Philippines. I feel incredibly proud to stand as a representative.
Following her gratitude towards her family, she expressed her appreciation to composer Andrew Lloyd Webber as well, acknowledging: ‘Over the past 15 years, it has truly been a privilege to collaborate and create with you.’
Nicole, against all expectations, has risen to stardom on Broadway; a feat that appeared unlikely only a few years back for the once-member of The Pussycat Dolls, who was not initially expected to receive such recognition.
After a failed try at launching a solo singing career post-disbandment of the pop group in 2010, her stage career seemed destined for failure too, given the heated argument she had with Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber – despite her public acknowledgement of him during the weekend.

9 years back, the previous member of the Pussycat Doll group abruptly left her role in the Broadway production of “Cats” at the eleventh hour to accept a large sum for rejoining ITV’s X Factor as a judge. Lord Webber, infuriated by this decision, publicly stated that she would never receive a Tony Award.
Lord Webber expressed his anger: ‘I’m extremely upset since I genuinely think she’s incredibly gifted and took a risk… but it doesn’t matter, another talented girl will appear on Broadway, and Nicole won’t win her Tony Award.’
After receiving overwhelming praise for his Sunset Boulevard performance, Nicole is now Lloyd Webber’s dazzling gem on Broadway. Not only has he retracted his previous criticisms, but he’s become one of her most ardent supporters.
Apart from that, she’s been seen in the movie Men in Black 3, lent her voice for the character in Disney’s Moana, and graced the stage with performances in Rent and Cats productions.
