Clash Royale confirms Mastery Gem Rewards are changing in late June 2025 update

In the June 2025 update, Clash Royale will be modifying its reward system for gems, moving away from the emphasis on lengthy mastery grinds and focusing more on improving progression-based rewards instead.

The change encourages more progression-based Gem earning through gameplay

Come June’s upcoming update, I’m excited to share that the Gem rewards for Card Mastery are changing! Regular Cards will now grant me 100 Gems instead of the previous 150. Similarly, Champion Cards will drop to 100 Gems from their current 300. To maintain balance in the game, an additional 2,525 Gems will be moved over to the Trophy Road. Can’t wait to see how this enhances our gaming experience!

As a player, I find it rewarding to accumulate more Gems not just by grinding Mastery levels, but also through the natural progression of my gameplay.

Although the change will decrease the overall number of Gems in the game, the intention is to make rewards seem more attainable and connected to your progress in the game. If you’re one of those who want to gather Gems from current Mastery tasks, remember that there’s still a little time before the update goes live.

After the updates are implemented, the latest Gem values will be applied to any further advancements from that point onwards. Please note that no additional rewards will be given for previously completed Mastery or Trophy Road achievements. The anticipated release date is around late June 2025, giving you ample time to prepare.
