Arena of Valor Premier League (APL) 2025 returns with the Wildcard round and a bigger Prize Pool

As a dedicated gamer, I’m pumped up for the upcoming mid-season esports tournament of Arena of Valor, set to take place in Thailand! The Arena of Valor Premier League 2025 is almost here, and it promises a larger prize pool and the introduction of the wildcard round, last seen in 2023. With the event scheduled for June, I can’t wait to see how the action unfolds. This article will delve into all the exciting details about this highly anticipated league!

Arena of Valor Premier League (APL) 2025: Schedule and Format

The competition begins on June 26th, 2025, featuring sixteen teams competing. It consists of two parts: the Swiss Stage and the Playoffs. In the initial phase, matches will occur from June 26th to 29th, followed by another round from July 2nd to 6th.

Each team will participate in five matches following the Swiss System format, where rounds are designed to pit teams with comparable records together. At this point, there won’t be any regional boundaries restricting competition; therefore, teams from the same league will square off against one another.

In addition to any match that determines the winner, all other matches will be best-of-three (Bo3). Teams who manage to secure three wins during the Swiss system progress to the Playoffs. The Playoffs will commence on the 10th of July and adopt a double-elimination format. In round one, matches will be best-of-five (Bo5), whereas all other matches will be best-of-seven (Bo7). This round will operate under a global ban pick rule.
