Coldplay are named highest-earning act from live shows this year as their eye-watering revenue is revealed
Coldplay have topped the list of artist earnings from live concerts this year.
According to reports, the band is estimated to have earned a staggering $130 million (approximately) from their Spheres World Tour this year, with each performance generating around $4.8 million.
They have significantly outperformed Shakira, who currently stands in second place with earnings of approximately £85 million from her live shows.
Third on the list are Kendrick Lamar and SZA, earning approximately £73.91 million each, followed by The Eagles in fourth place with around £68.82 million.
17, a group hailing from South Korea, are not too distant in earnings with approximately £68.45 million, closely followed by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra who made around £50.55 million.

7th position was taken by Tyler, The Creator, earning approximately £49.5 million, and Dead & Company came in 2nd place with about £45.6 million.
Completing the top ten list are South Korean rap artist j-hope, earning approximately £44.19 million, and Beyoncé with a revenue of around £44.04 million.
This year, Coldplay took the lead in earning among British and Irish artists, trailing closely behind was Sir Paul McCartney with an income of approximately £23.23 million.

The mid-year report indicates a lively market that’s doing quite well, as the top three tours have already earned over $100 million each, even before the peak concert period kicks in.
