Guess who! Aussie heartthrob looks almost unrecognisable while enjoying a low-key lunch in Los Angeles
Originating from Sydney, he is the drummer who significantly contributed to the worldwide fame of one of Australia’s highly successful pop-rock groups.
In his twenties, as a member of a highly successful boy band that dominated the charts, he became a familiar figure in many homes, admired not only for his physical appeal but also his captivating stage charisma.
Over the past weekend, the man who’s now 30 years old had a low-key outing, dining peacefully at a local LA café. He appeared nearly unidentifiable compared to his energetic stadium performances of yesteryears.

Have you figured out who it is yet? Indeed, it’s none other than Ashton Irwin, the veteran drummer from the band 5 Seconds of Summer.
Enhancing a vintage charm, Ashton completed his casual style by donning aviator spectacles and white, wired earphones.
In stark contrast, his present style – with its natural curls and light beard growth – is a far cry from the slicked-back hairstyle and clean-shaven face that made him famous as part of a boy band in the 2010s.
Basking under the warm California sun, I found myself feeling tranquil and satisfied, savoring each cool sip of my chilled beverage.
Despite no longer gracing the front pages of teen magazines, Ashton continues to sport his signature radiant grin.
5 Seconds of Summer, comprised of Ashton, Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, and Calum Hood, first emerged on the music industry landscape back in 2012 when they were still young teens.
The band has since released five studio albums and sold millions of records around the world.
The first three of their albums reached number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, making them the pioneering Australian group to achieve three No. 1 albums in the U.S. market.

In October 2020, Ashton unveiled his debut solo album titled “Superblooom.” The tracks on this album were influenced by his personal experiences, including his childhood memories, struggles with depression, battles against alcoholism, and body image issues (body dysmorphia).
In his conversation with Daily Mail Australia before the album launch, he expressed that the main storyline revolves around a support network, healing, recovery, discovering one’s true identity, and staying focused. He mentioned that he had plenty to share on these topics.

‘I think it’s always important as an artist to have a mission statement.
‘Like, ‘Why do you make music? Why do you write the lyrics you write?”
