Jesinta Franklin is pregnant! AFL WAG expecting third child with husband Buddy: ‘The most beautiful surprise of all’
Jesinta Franklin and her husband Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin are expecting their third child together.
The 33-year-old AFL WAG announced the exciting news in an Instagram post on Tuesday morning.
In an openhearted video post, I found myself captured, showcasing my expanding belly as I tenderly held it while my delightful duo, my five-year-old daughter, Tullulah, and my energetic four-year-old son, Rocky, frolicked playfully around me.
One clip also showed Rocky kissing his mum’s pregnant belly.
Tullulah and Rocky will be receiving a new baby sibling this Christmas, according to the model’s post. She described it as the loveliest surprise imaginable.

Jesinta divides Tullulah and Rocky with her football player spouse, who is 38 years old, and she’s openly acknowledged that motherhood posed significant challenges for her initially.
In 2022, she clarified to Stellar that she’s now truly appreciating motherhood, not because she didn’t previously enjoy it or love her children, but rather, the joy and love they’ve always brought her have become more profound over time.
Over those past two years, I found myself deeply immersed, almost like being in the thick of battle. It was a highly demanding phase of my existence, filled with relentless hardship and persistence.
For quite some time, it seemed as though I was living in a state of survival. Now, I eagerly anticipate their awakening… When they take their naps, I truly yearn for their presence.
Jesinta admitted that, with their parental responsibilities, it’s been challenging for her and Buddy to find quality time together.
‘A lot of people don’t talk about how hard it is on your marriage having children,’ she said.
‘We really haven’t had much time just us two without the kids, but we’re a very tight-knit family.’

She went on to say, “We certainly aren’t flawless. Our aim is to work as a unit and tackle problems side by side.” This refers to her and Buddy.
Jesinta also praised her husband for being a proactive and doting father.
She expressed that Bud’s active involvement and support were deeply missed during his absence for the football season. It’s truly fortunate, she added, to be with someone who is not only a wonderful partner but also an exceptional parent.
Jesinta married former Sydney Swans star Buddy in November, 2016.
He has since waved goodbye to his $10million Sydney Swans contract after a legendary career in AFL.
In August 2023, Jesinta shared that her spouse had shifted his attention towards parenthood following his retirement from sports.
Because it happened so unexpectedly, it’s mostly about spending time with family for her. She has a lot of work to attend to, so she plans to take care of things as a loving father would,” she shared with The Herald Sun.
Lately, Jesinta shared a message expressing her difficulties with certain aspects of being a mom, prompting some people to show empathy and care.
Earlier this month, she posted a mirror selfie from the bathroom on social media, showing her looking fatigued and weary, her gaze fixed melancholily on her mobile device.
In my latest casual outing, I opted for a cozy combination of a gray long-sleeve T-shirt and comfy pyjama pants, quite the departure from my typical glamorous style you might be accustomed to.
Jesinta titled the picture with some weary sentiments: “I haven’t slept this little since the children were still newborns.
The Gold Coast-born model then revealed she was feeling overwhelmed by all her responsibilities.
In my daily life, I’ve been juggling a multitude of challenges: from little ones falling ill and unexpected trips to the ER for ear infections, to an overwhelming workload that leaves me starting my day before the sun rises. To top it all off, my kids have been having trouble sleeping. It’s quite the balancing act!
Jesinta added: ‘A big salute to all the mothers tirelessly persevering each day, remember to take care of yourselves. The past week has been incredibly demanding.’
