This autumn, “The Office” universe will broaden with “The Newspaper” – a new series that delves into the world of a newsroom instead of a paper company’s office. Both shows are from the same creator, ensuring a similar vibe in this spin-off to the original series for viewers.
I can’t wait to watch this show right away for several reasons. Firstly, since I was born and brought up in the Midwest region, I’m eagerly anticipating the writers to fill the series with jokes that are specific to the Midwest. The more they include, the better! I guarantee you that I will never tire of it.
Apart from being a dedicated fan of Domhnall Gleeson, I can’t help but gush about “About Time” – have I talked it up enough for you? And let’s not forget “Star Wars.” Right now, his role in the mockumentary sitcom seems tailor-made for him. His humorous touch in the Star Wars universe is nothing short of delightful, and I won’t engage in any debates about this – I’m perfectly content with my stance on this matter, thank you!
Above all else, journalism could benefit from some laughter. This is particularly true for us who are struggling to keep afloat amidst the turbulence of this career. Furthermore, being in a newsroom isn’t nearly as awful as it might seem, and the secretive moments we often encounter in our profession make it intriguing enough for me. Let’s dive in! I’m all set and eager to go.
As a devoted movie enthusiast, I must say that what made “The Office” truly exceptional was its unforgettable characters and their intriguing dynamics throughout the series. I have high hopes that “The Paper” will continue this tradition of excellence in workplace comedies. Over the last decade, these types of shows have had their time to excel, stepping up to fill the shoes left by “The Office” but managing to add new dimensions to the genre in a mostly positive way. This show has great potential, appealing not only to loyal fans of the original series but also to those who’ve been meaning to watch it but haven’t gotten around to it yet, or perhaps will never do so.
