Squad Busters races along with Sonic as the iconic blue hedgehog joins their hero lineup

  • Sonic the Hedgehog is joining Squad Busters
  • The iconic blue hedgehog is accompanied by Tails and Knuckles
  • Smash your way through Eggman’s forces starting June 17th

As a gamer, I can hardly contain my excitement as Squad Busters prepares to broaden its horizons with an unexpected collaboration. This time around, it’s a jaw-dropping reveal that has everyone buzzing. Sonic the Hedgehog, the iconic character from Sega, is set to join Squad Busters on June 17th as our latest hero! Accompanying him are his trusty companions, Tails and Knuckles, who will be his new teammates in Squad Busters!

Just as you’d guess given its name, Sonic is focused on swiftness and leverages his Super Sonic form to achieve invulnerability. Activating Turbo helps replenish this ability, making Sonic a key figure for Speedster Squadrons, enhancing the skills of other members even more.

Of course, they too accompany him – Tails on his Cyclone Walker, brandishing a potent laser cannon, and Knuckles, demonstrating his signature moves by tunneling through assaults to dodge harm, only to resurface beneath adversaries for an attack.

Gotta’ go fast!

To unlock the trio, you’ll want to jump into the new event starting June 17th, and collect rings from battles, the shop and your daily rewards. Doing so will unlock Sonic, whose Hero Journey will let you gather more rings to unlock Knuckles and Tails, all of whom get their own evolutions!

In Sonic’s world, it wouldn’t feel right without Dr. Eggman making an appearance, and that’s exactly what happens in the new “Dr. Eggman Attacks” modifier. This modification not only boosts the number of rings but also lets Eggman traverse the map in his Egg Mobile, engaging heroes in battles along the way. The chaos doesn’t end there; Dr. Eggman can even transform into the Death Egg Robot!
