Alex Mytton, a cast member from Made In Chelsea, has honored two of his dear friends who lost their lives in the devastating Air India airplane accident.
The London duo Fiongal and Jamie Greenlaw-Meek were sadly among the victims in the recent unfortunate event that occurred this week.
On Thursday, an Air India flight en route to London’s Gatwick Airport encountered a crash soon after takeoff from Ahmedabad, located in western India.
Among the 242 people aboard, it’s thought that just one individual survived: a British national named Ajay Kumar Vishwash. He escaped with only minor injuries by leaping from the aircraft.
Following the unfortunate event, Alex, aged 34, expressed a heartfelt sentiment on his Instagram Story, honoring his friends Fiongal, aged 39, and Jamie, aged 45, who were adventuring in India.

Feeling somewhat speechless and a bit drained emotionally, I simply wish to pen a brief note to convey my thoughts.
‘Our lovely friends Fiongal & Jamie were very sadly killed yesterday in the plane crash in India.’
Sharing a post featuring his girlfriend Hannah Wood, Alex wrote further: ‘There are many more thoughts I’d like to express about them, as they held a special place in the hearts of Hannah Wood and myself.’
Currently, I’d like to express that if someone is feeling weighed down, melancholic, or simply desires companionship tomorrow, I will be arranging an informal gathering. This could take place in a nearby park where we can share some time together and offer each other comforting embraces, if desired.
Currently, I’m experiencing a deep sense of sorrow and distress, and I thought it would be comforting to organize a tribute to remember our friends during these challenging times. At the same time, this gesture is intended as a symbol of solidarity with all the other issues that are weighing heavy on us right now.

On this morning’s broadcast, co-hosts Alison Hammond (age 50) and Dermot O’Leary (age 52) began the day by honoring the couple as well.
Speaking about Fiongal’s stint as a guest, Dermot mentioned, “We were really energized by the vibe he added to our set.
In the spirit of transparency, I’d like to share that Fiongal was traveling alongside his husband Jamie on that fateful flight. My heartfelt sympathies extend to their family and everyone else impacted by this devastating event. May they find solace in our thoughts and prayers during these challenging times.
Previously, Martin Frizell (a former producer of This Morning) paid his respects by posting a touching tribute, featuring a picture that included Fiongal along with hosts Cat Deeley, aged 48, and Ben Shephard, aged 50, from their time on the show.
I’m deeply saddened to learn that Fiongal Greenlaw Meek, along with his partner, were reportedly among those who lost their lives today in an airplane accident involving a flight destined for Gatwick Airport. My thoughts and condolences go out to their families, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
I recall his trip to the studio back in January; he had an intense interest in auras, and despite my skepticism, his infectious energy and unbridled excitement managed to charm everyone present.
Additionally, it’s clear to me that he intended to leverage his appearance on This Morning to bolster his Wellness brand. His future looked promising. My sympathies go out to his family, friends, and partner Jamie during this difficult time.
