In June of 2025, the popular game Clash of Clans plans to roll out some exciting new changes. The upcoming update will introduce a novel spell, increase level caps, offer additional features, and more, so let’s delve into the specifics.
Clash of Clans June 2025 Update: All new features explained
New Spell: Ice Block
The most notable feature of this update introduces a brand new spell called ‘Ice Block’. This is a Dark Spell that becomes accessible from Town Hall level 14 upon upgrading the Dark Spell Factory to level 7. Unlike conventional spells that target defenses or the village, ‘Ice Block’ freezes your troops, thus drastically reducing the damage they sustain.

When under this charm’s influence, they won’t budge or retaliate. Instead, they’ll be extremely resistant to harm, almost invulnerable. They’ll remain stationary, as if petrified, barely sustaining any damage at all. At its highest level 5 (TH17), it grants a 94% reduction in damage and prevents the troops from moving or attacking.
Ice Block level | Laboratory level | Incoming damage reduction (%) | Upgrade time | Upgrade cost (DE) |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | N/A | 86 | N/A | N/A |
2 | 12 | 88 | 10d | 140K |
3 | 13 | 90 | 11d | 200K |
4 | 14 | 92 | 14d | 280K |
5 | 15 | 94 | 16d | 320K |
Ice Block lasts for seven seconds across all levels.
New Feature: Cookbook
In case you recall, I brought up the topic called ‘Army Suggestions‘ earlier? Indeed, it’s now available here with a different label, named ‘Cookbook‘. Essentially, its purpose remains consistent with the scenario I described before.
This feature provides suggested army configurations that are suitable for your present and lower Town Hall levels. Feel free to duplicate, experiment, and store these setups in the recipe slots. These slots can be particularly beneficial for less experienced players who prefer not to create armies manually.
This tab offers two kinds of military configurations: Beginner Armies and Showcase Armies. Feel free to employ these arrangements immediately or store them in your collection for later use. The Beginner Armies are user-friendly and consist solely of standard troops, spells, and fundamental gear; there’s no Super Troops involved.
These armies, often referred to as Player-Created Armies, boast increased power due to the expertise of their creators. They can incorporate any in-game elements and are accessible for a limited period. You’ll find armies tailored to your current Town Hall level. The Featured and Player-Created Armies differ based on each Town Hall, meaning you’ll have unique experiences each time.
New Levels added: Troops, Siege Machines, and Pet
Additional tiers have been incorporated into various troop and unit formations. It’s now possible to enhance all fortifications, as an extra 75 Wall components have been introduced at Level 18.
Unit | Level | TH Required | Upgrade Cost | Hitpoints | DPS / Heal | Damage When Destroyed |

Other updates and additions
This update introduces Polish language options, facilitates 2v2 and 3v3 Friendly Wars, and enhances the visual effects for Grand Warden’s Fireball and Tornado Trap. The regeneration time for heroes is no longer visible, and buildings like Spell Factories will now animate if their owner has them in their army.
Enhancements in the quality of life involve swapping or rotating various character skins directly from the Training interface, reorganizing characters, troops, and spells simply by dragging them around, and receiving more effective alerts for potential problems. The Trader now displays previews for Scenery deals, hiding items that you already possess. Additionally, storage capacity in the Builder Base Elixir Cart has been expanded to accommodate larger rewards.
