One of Australia’s cherished rock groups, The Angels, were initially spearheaded by the iconic vocalist Doc Neeson from 1974 until 2011.

Following his death due to a brain tumor in 2014, the band subsequently brought on Dave Gleeson, lead vocalist of The Screaming Jets, as their replacement singer.

2023 saw Gleeson announcing that he would be taking a step back to focus on his radio duties and collaborating on a fresh album with The Screaming Jets.

In his statement to The Courier Mail, Dave Gleeson, the host of Triple M Nights, expressed that being a part of such an iconic legacy is among his most significant accomplishments.

As The Screaming Jets prepare for their upcoming album launch, and with my busy schedule at national Triple M, it’s now time for me to take the next step.

Dave said his former bandmates remain ‘the very best of friends’.

He will forever be significant in my rock and roll adventure. Keep rocking, I’ll catch up with you on tour.

Rick expressed his own gratitude towards Dave, stating that the band is deeply appreciative for all the work he has done for them.
