Born in Tasmania, the 52-year-old royal figure was spotted bundled up amidst the cold weather, wearing a dark blue coat and a beanie. Accompanied by her spouse, they strolled hand-in-hand across the verdant slopes of Denmark island.
King Frederick, aged 57, seemed calm and composed as he donned a beige coat and cream slacks, guiding his wife cautiously over the rugged landscape with ease.
Australian royalty demonstrated her daring nature by soaring through the skies, securing herself in a harness for an exhilarating zip-lining adventure across the windblown terrain.
The royal pair seemed to be having an enjoyable excursion, sharing laughter and conversation while taking in the beautiful scenery around them, evidently relishing their time together outside of palace routines.

Eager for new experiences, Mary promptly took up the opportunity to zip-line without a second thought. Not long after, Frederick followed suit and joined her.

At The Slip Inn during the 2000 Summer Olympics, the duo crossed paths, a fact that was earlier mentioned as Mary, unbeknownst to her, was conversing with the future monarch of Denmark for hours without realizing it – the charming European tourist.
Yet, it came to light in 2021 that Amber Petty, who served as a bridesmaid at their 2004 wedding, disclosed that the couple had actually met at an exclusive private gathering held at a bar, with the entire event being pre-arranged.
During an interview on Channel Seven’s morning program Sunrise, Petty explained that the gathering was hosted in attendance of a royal entourage who happened to be in Australia for the year 2000 Olympic Games.
She remarked on the show, “Regrettably, I must clarify that finding princes isn’t just a matter of chance encounters at taverns.
At the Olympics, there wasn’t just a casual get-together that occurred by chance. Instead, it was a planned, intimate dinner event, and coincidentally, Mary received an invitation. Notably, many of the attendees were members of royal families.
Upon our chance meeting at the pub, I, a passionate Danish supporter there for Australia’s sailing games, couldn’t help but ask Mary for her contact information. Little did I know that this simple act would spark a beautiful romance between us.
During our initial encounter, we exchanged a handshake. It wasn’t until later that I discovered he was none other than the Prince of Denmark. Approximately thirty minutes after our introduction, someone approached me and asked, “Have you figured out who these individuals are?” Mary shared this detail in an interview discussing her first encounter with the future Danish monarch.
For approximately a year, they kept their relationship going from afar. Before Mary relocated to Denmark in 2001 to attend the Danish Language School in Copenhagen, Frederik would make clandestine journeys to Australia.
Back in early 2003, Queen Margrethe, Frederik’s mother, openly confirmed their romantic involvement. Later that year, on October 8th, they officially announced their engagement within the walls of Amalienborg Castle.
On May 14, 2004, Frederik and Mary exchanged wedding vows at Copenhagen Cathedral. Their first-born, Prince Christian Valdemar Henri John, arrived on October 15, 2005. A year later, on April 21, 2007, their second child, Princess Isabella Henrietta Ingrid Margrethe, was born.
Approximately four years after the passage of time, Mary and Frederik joyously welcomed twin babies into their family: Princess Josephine Sophia Ivalo Mathilda and Prince Vincent Frederik Minik Alexander, at the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen on January 8, 2011.
