Beyonce’s poignant message to rarely-seen son Sir and daughter Rumi onstage in London
On a rare occasion, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter spoke publicly about her little-known son, Sir Carter, during her Cowboy Carter World Tour in North London’s Tottenham district on Thursday, which grossed an impressive $168.5M over its 32 performances.
On video shared via X, the 43-year-old pop sensation expressed her birthday wishes to little Sir and his twin sister Rumi Carter, who are now eight years old, during a performance at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
‘Everybody say happy birthday, Rumi!’ Beyoncé commanded her devoted Beyhive.
During the three-hour performance with more than 35 songs, 13-year-old Blue Ivy Carter, affectionately known as Knowles-Carter’s daughter, gently touched her little sister on the chin.

During the concert lasting three hours and featuring over 35 songs, 13-year-old Blue Ivy Carter, the beloved child of Knowles-Carter, sweetly patted her younger sister on the chin.
‘Say happy birthday, Sir!’ the 35-time Grammy winner added as Rumi embraced her. ‘Mommy loves you.’
During Beyoncé’s tour at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA starting from April 28, Blue Ivy assisted as a backup dancer, while Rumi has been regularly joining her onstage each night of the performance.
In the previous year, Rumi first appeared musically on the song “Protector” from Knowles-Carter’s eight studio album. On this track, you can listen to her requesting: “Mom, could you play my bedtime lullaby for me?
Queen Bey and her husband of 17 years – Jay-Z (born Shawn Carter) – rarely discuss their only son.
Last year, proud grandmother Tina Knowles couldn’t help but express her admiration, saying, “Rumi is fantastic – a truly talented artist, painter, and inventor,” to E! News.
Given their upbringing surrounded by creativity and fashion, it’s no surprise that they seem to fit those roles. While they excel in numerical matters, making them less involved with fashion compared to others, Sir remains rather reserved.
On March 18th, infamous figure Kanye West (also known as ‘Ye’), who has faced criticism, posted a surprising tweet questioning the mental health of his twins. Later, he removed the tweet, stating that there might have been a risk of his Twitter account being suspended due to its content.
On the 2nd of February, Cowboy Carter emerged victorious, bagging a total of three Grammy Awards. These honors were awarded in the categories of ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Best Country Album’, and ‘Best Country Duo/Group Performance’. The latter was shared with Miley Cyrus for their collaboration titled “II Most Wanted”.
In simpler terms, Beyoncé expressed deep gratitude and satisfaction in her acceptance speech. She acknowledged the passage of time, saying it had been a long while, and thanked the Grammys, songwriters, collaborators, producers, and everyone who put in hard work.
I’d like to consecrate this to Ms. Martell, as we continue our journey, breaking new ground. May God be with all of you. Many thanks for your support.
On September 26th, during the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter didn’t win a single one of the 12 awards she was nominated for her eighth country studio album.

Surprisingly, despite being a Texas Hold ‘Em singer with over 58.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, they didn’t receive any nominations for the 58th Annual Country Music Association Awards.
Meanwhile, as country music industry leaders overlooked her, Beyoncé’s album “Cowboy Carter” continued her streak of eight No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200, marking a significant milestone as it became the first album by a black woman to reach No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart.
In their initial attempt at this type of music, Knowles-Carter achieved top positions on record charts in the UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
This coming Saturday, the Oscar-nominated songwriter will carry on with her extended performance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
