In honor of the franchise’s 30th anniversary, we’re introducing a special ‘Retro Mode’ to eFootball 2025. This mode will transport you back to the original games with its nostalgic atmosphere. Let’s dive deeper into the details and discover what awaits us players!

eFootball 2025 Retro Mode will feature old-school gameplay visuals

As a dedicated fan, I’m excited to share that based on recent updates, it seems this upcoming event will primarily take place online, following the footsteps of previous themed experiences like Captain Tsubasa and Strike Arena events. Although specifics are yet to be officially announced, we’ve already been given a sneak peek at the gameplay.

To celebrate the game’s 30th anniversary, I can’t wait for Konami to roll out a Retro Mode! It seems like it could be a limited-time online experience, much like Strike Arena or the Captain Tsubasa event.

The classic teams WE United and EFB Unite face off in a match that exudes a nostalgic vibe. The atmosphere harks back to the past, with the graphics deliberately pixelated, from the stadium architecture to the crowd interactions, emulating the basic crowd models reminiscent of older Winning Eleven and PES versions.

Even though the net and pitch appear quite worn, the fundamental principles of physics remain consistent. Unfortunately, I was hoping for a nostalgic commentary, but perhaps that’s asking too much.
