Comedian Peter Kay is planning to follow the format of Bridget Jones’s diary for his next venture, quite literally.
The well-adored actor and author is expanding his resume by including the title of “diarist,” as he prepares to present his followers with a book that is said to be his most intimate work to date.
Titled “Peter Kay’s Journal: A Monthly Laugh from a Lad from Bolton“, this book is my own humorous take, reflected not only in its pages but also in its amusing cover design. I, as the author, find it quite entertaining!
In the Instagram preview, Peter Kay appears to have replaced Renée Zellweger in a poster reminiscent of the original “Bridget Jones’s Diary” movie released in 2001, as well as the reprinted version of Helen Fielding’s novel. This upcoming book titled “Peter Kay’s Diary” is said to be his most intimate and amusing memoir to date, according to its description.
Peter, known for his characteristic charm and humor, will guide you on a side-splitting, monthly tour of his life experiences.
The book will be available in October, but Kay fans can secure their copy by pre-ordering them now.

Enthusiasts of Kay are thrilled by the news, as one individual expressed: “This is incredibly exciting and exactly what we’ve all been hoping for.
“The cover is everything,” someone else rightfully noted.
Another enthusiast exclaimed, “Absolutely, I think you should get it! It sounds like it would be a great addition to your collection. If it’s anything like his other works, it promises to be outstanding!

Ultimately, a fourth individual inquired whether Kay would prefer Bridget Jones’ selection of full-coverage undergarments, often humorously referred to as the larger “briefs” seen in the novel and movie.
“Do you have the big nude pants as well,” they jokingly asked with a laughing emoji.
Kay is known for having authored multiple books, acting in Peter Kay’s sitcom “Car Share,” earning two BAFTAs and one National Television Award for his performance, providing the voice for Albert Mackintosh in both “Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit” and “Vengeance Most Fowl” last year.
The debut print issue of Digital Spy’s magazine has arrived! Purchase the British Comedy Legends edition at your local newsstands or online for a budget-friendly price of only £3.99.
