Channel Ten reveals fate of beloved game show Deal or No Deal after announcing new current affairs program in the wake of The Project being axed
Network 10 has finally unveiled its new current affairs show in the wake of The Project being axed.
Countdown begins for me, as a fervent fan! I can hardly contain my excitement for the highly-anticipated premiere of “10 News+,” airing on Monday, June 30th, at 6:00 PM sharp on Channel 10 and 10Play. Can’t wait to tune in and be part of this remarkable journey!
During the week (Sunday through Thursday), viewers can look forward to seeing familiar faces Denham Hitchcock, a former 7News journalist, and Amelia Brace, an award-winning Walkley recipient, as they anchor the evening news broadcast at 6 pm.
After the announcement, people rushed to the comment section with a pressing query regarding their beloved game show – Deal or No Deal.
A viewer expressed their concern by asking, ‘It seems you’re canceling Deal or No Deal and The Project. Is that correct?’

‘What about fkn [sic] Deal or No Deal,’ said another.
‘Is Deal or No Deal getting shelved?’ queried a third.
Deal or No Deal? first aired on the Seven Network from 2003 to 2013.
In 2023, they obtained the permission to resurrect the Australian adaptation of the program, which aired again in 2024 with Grant Denyer as the host.
Fear among fans was unfounded as Ten clarified that Deal or No Deal was not being canceled secretly.
It will be moving to the later 7pm timeslot instead.
10 News+ will air nationwide following Network 10’s 5 pm local news updates, delivering comprehensive analysis on significant events from the day.
7News regulars Denham Hitchcock and Amelia Brace, who have both won prestigious awards, will frequently appear on the 6pm news broadcast from Sunday through Thursday.

Ursula Heger and Hugh Riminton will take the lead during the new Friday broadcast.
The main group will have assistance from journalists such as Ashleigh Raper, Bill Hogan, Brianna Parkins, Samantha Butler, Carrie-Anne Greenbank, and Claudia Vrdoljak.
Angela Bishop, our Entertainment Editor at Ten, will share her expertise on the most significant entertainment news items, such as high-profile red carpet events and intimate interviews with A-list celebrities from Hollywood.
