Fans of Ted Lasso will be happy to hear the fourth season is coming soon! The show has announced a return timeframe, and we’re getting our first glimpse of a new coach played by Tanya Reynolds, known for Sex Education.
Okay, so everyone was freaking out when we thought “Ted Lasso” was over after season three in 2023. But good news! Apple TV officially confirmed it’s coming back! They haven’t given us a specific date yet, but they said we can expect the new season this summer. I’m so hyped!
Jason Sudeikis will return as the beloved coach, picking up after his trip to Kansas at the end of last season. This time, he’s back in Richmond facing a new and exciting challenge: coaching a women’s professional soccer team in a lower league.

Hannah Waddingham will reprise her role as Rebecca Welton, and Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift are also returning as Keeley Jones, Roy Kent, Coach Beard, and Leslie Higgins, respectively. New photos show Waddingham as Rebecca alongside Ted near a private jet.
Reynolds will join the team as an assistant coach and appears alongside Ted in some scenes. Grant Feely is the new actor playing Ted’s son, Henry, and is shown at the pub being served by Annette Badland, who plays the pub owner, Mae Green.
Joining the cast are Jude Mack, known for Waiting for the Out; Faye Marsay from Andor; Rex Hayes of The Pact; Aisling Sharkey who appeared in Jurassic World: Dominion; and Abbie Hern, previously in Peaky Blinders.
Jack Burditt is joining the team as an executive producer, working alongside Jason Sudeikis and Brett Goldstein, who are also writers and stars on the show. Sarah Walker, Phoebe Walsh, and Julia Lindon will also be contributing as writers.
Early previews of the new season featured familiar characters gathering at an American diner with Ted, possibly to persuade him to come back to London.
Jason Sudeikis recently mentioned that, given current global circumstances, people are naturally more cautious and think things through before acting.
During the fourth season, the team and staff at AFC Richmond take risks and embrace the unexpected, ultimately realizing that every challenge and outcome leads them exactly where they need to be.
Ted Lasso season 4 will premiere in summer 2026 on Apple TV.
