The action RPG from Supercell, known as mo.co, is preparing for its Chapter 2 (or new season) update, filled with fresh content such as a new map, dojos, rifts, weapons, gadgets, passives, improvements to gameplay quality, rewards, and much more! The mo.co team has dubbed this new season or chapter as “Portal Problems”.
What’s new in mo.co Chapter 2 update
In a developer presentation, Community Manager João and Marketing Lead Erol shared an initial peek at the upcoming chapter, accompanied by Ne.co, their cuddly feline mascot. The update, which includes improved combat mechanics, revamped Player vs Player interactions, and a comprehensive overhaul of the experience point system, promises to deliver greater complexity and humor than before.
New Monsters
A fresh realm has emerged, teeming with charming yet perilous felines. The video provides a glimpse into the identities of these new beasts, including Arrow Cat, Whisker, Slicer, Scratcher, and Skitter.
New Maps
In this latest update for Moco, Supercell is introducing several brand-new city-themed maps to give your gaming experience a fresh twist. Instead of rescuing spirits as in previous maps, in these new ones, you’ll be saving civilians and gardening personnel.
New Weapons
To match the upgraded monsters, you will get three new weapons:
- Shotbow: Returning permanently with a fresh coat of paint and updated design.
- Time Claw: A standout with a sixth-hit area attack and cooldown reduction for gadgets.
- Poison Bow: Delivers damage over time via poison effects.
New Gadgets
The gadget system is also expanding with powerful new tools:
- P.E.W 3000: A long-range auto-firing turret.
- Healing Totem: Stationary healing support.
- Life Drain: A hybrid gadget that deals and heals.
New Passives
Three new passives are also arriving with the mo.co Chapter 2 update.
- Pocket Airbag: emergency survivability
- Cactus Charm: revenge damage
- Gadget Battery: shock enemies when gadgets are used
XP system overhaul
In the latest Chapter 2 update from mo.co, they’ve overhauled their weekly Experience (XP) system. Now, you have the opportunity to accumulate up to 20,000 bonus XP daily. This new progression system comes with a bar that keeps track of your earnings. Once this bar is empty, a bigger XP bar takes over, allowing you to keep earning XP without feeling rushed or pressured.
However, unlike the previous time, now mo.co will offer a weekly XP cap rather than the daily cap.
New Rift Challenges and Boss Fights
In Chapter 2, the Rift gameplay becomes more intricate as it introduces advanced challenges, fresh adversaries, and unique boss fights that follow specific strategies.
New faces and changes in the Social System
The range of character customization is expanding to become more diverse, introducing 12 additional facial options suitable for both male and female characters. The social features have been updated to streamline team formation through a revamped teaming system that replaces the conventional lobby system. Now, you can invite friends directly within Rifts and Events, fostering a more spontaneous cooperative play experience.
PvP gets an upgrade
The combat system within the game is experiencing major updates now. Players have the opportunity to engage in battles across four diverse modes, each with maps that regularly change. By winning these fights, you’ll earn Stars which help advance through five different Ranks or Belts. Reaching the highly respected Black Belt level will grant access to unique Titles, enhancing the acknowledgement of their talents.
Changes in Leaderboards
The change is moving from global and local leaderboards to friend and group-focused leaderboards, which emphasizes competition within one’s personal network and closer communities.
mo.co Chapter 2 ‘Portal Problems’ Update release date
The update is expected to be released a week prior to the anticipated launch of Chapter 2. At this point, Supercell has not disclosed a specific launch date, but it seems likely that the release will happen quite soon.
In a captivating mix of disorder, felines, and imagination, the Chapter 2 update on mo.co appears to be an essential play for enthusiasts yearning for a unique take on multiplayer RPG gameplay.
