Blake Lively finally breaks silence on Justin Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit dismissal after It Ends With Us legal war

Blake Lively is taking a victory lap.

On a Monday update, the 37-year-old actress posted a message on Instagram, addressing the dismissal of the $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit brought against her by her co-worker, Justin Baldoni, from their project ‘It Ends with Us’.

A week ago, I stood together with 19 other groups advocating for women’s right to voice concerns about their security, stated Lively. Just like countless others, I have experienced the distress of a baseless lawsuit and the attempts at shaming, intended to undermine us.

‘While the suit against me was defeated, so many don’t have the resources to fight back.’

Full of energy, the woman named Lively – mother of four with her spouse Ryan Reynolds – declared that she is more determined than ever to advocate for every woman’s ability to express herself, encompassing self-protection, personal integrity, respect, and the telling of her own unique narrative.

The actress from “Gossip Girl” concluded by expressing gratitude towards those in the limelight for their support during a challenging year.

In a heartfelt manner, Lively expressed thanks to those who have supported him throughout his journey, acknowledging that he recognizes some of you, while others are new acquaintances. Regardless, his appreciation and advocacy for each one of you will never cease.

In response to the high-profile court case she faced with Justin Baldoni, which affected her relationship with Taylor Swift, the actress involved in “The It Ends With Us” also shared a compilation of organizations that had openly expressed their support for her during this publicized Hollywood dispute.

In this group, arranged by alphabet, were the California Employment Lawyers Association, California Women’s Law Center, CHILD USA, Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, Equal Rights Advocates, Esperanza United, Her Justice, and Herunivercity Inc. (In other words, here are the organizations listed in alphabetical order: California Employment Lawyers Association, California Women’s Law Center, CHILD USA, Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, Equal Rights Advocates, Esperanza United, Her Justice, and Herunivercity Inc.)

On Thursday, Lively criticized Baldoni, suggesting that a significant number of women’s organizations have distanced themselves from him, possibly indicating a shift in the case.

19 prominent advocates for women’s rights, children’s rights, and those dedicated to combating domestic violence have collectively joined forces on four distinct legal documents supporting similar causes, as reported by the Daily Mail, according to a representative of the actress from Another Simple Favor.

The statement goes on to say: ‘Everyone stands together in challenging Justin Baldoni’s effort to undermine a law intended for the safety of women who voice their concerns – all in an attempt to safeguard himself.’

According to Lively’s team, Baldoni appears to be contradicting his usual strategy as the complex legal matter unfolds, which could lead to a heightened level of examination given his previous public remarks.

Instead of upholding his case based on facts, Baldoni is now going against the image he’s built over the years – discarding the message he once promoted through his YouTube videos, podcasts, TED Talks, and interviews where he encouraged men to listen to the women in their lives, feel their pain, and believe them, even when what they say contradicts your own beliefs, according to Lively’s representative.

Dailymail.com has reached out to reps for Baldoni for further comment on this story.

‘These females and institutions are warning that his DARVO strategies may have a profoundly chilling impact not just in this instance but also far beyond it.’

In a lawsuit, Lively claims Baldoni engaged in sexual harassment; on the other hand, Baldoni countersued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, their publicist Leslie Sloane, alleging defamation and extortion in a $400 million suit – the extortion charge was dismissed this week.

In response to claims made by Lively, Baldoni has refuted them. On the other hand, Lively, Reynolds, and Sloane have all rejected the accusations leveled against Baldoni during court proceedings.

In December, the actress formerly known as Serena van der Woodsen (from “Gossip Girl”) filed a lawsuit against director Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment during film production. She stated that Baldoni made inappropriate comments about her body and orchestrated negative campaigns to harm her reputation, among other alleged acts of misconduct.

In response to the lawsuit, Baldoni and his representatives claim that Lively distorted the true meaning of text conversations and deceived the public about the nature of their communications during the filmmaking process.

In her legal action, Lively listed several individuals who work with Baldoni, such as his production company Wayfarer Studios, the CEO and major investors of the studio, and public relations representatives Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel.

Later on, Baldoni filed a lawsuit against the publication for a sum of $250 million, accusing them of defamation related to an article published on December 21 entitled “‘We Can Bury Anyone’: Unveiling a Hollywood Slander Apparatus’; however, the newspaper has refuted these claims.

On January 16, Baldoni filed a lawsuit for $400 million against Lively, Reynolds, and their publicist Sloane, accusing them of defamation and extortion. In the court filing, Baldoni claimed that the trio fabricated allegations of sexual harassment against him.
