Real Housewives Of New York City star says she is DONE with reality TV causing fans to ‘break down in tears’

Brynn Whitfield is stepping away from reality TV.

39-year-old cast member from The Real Housewives of New York City, who faced allegations of using a past sexual assault to manipulate situations during the season finale, announced the development via her social media platforms on Monday.

After careful consideration, she has chosen to step back from participating in reality television shows for the time being. She expressed her intention to fully focus and dedicate all her efforts towards developing and growing Hoppy, the dating app she helped create.

She shared with her followers that being part of The Real Housewives of New York City remains one of the most enjoyable, unpredictable, and enchanting periods in her life. It was truly a privilege to contribute to the revival of this legendary show.

Since the very beginning, I’ve felt that The Real Housewives of New York City is a program for the fans – we’re simply caretakers, entrusted with something that ultimately belongs to the audience.

She expressed the hope that what she said brought you much laughter, a touch of tears, but most importantly, she wished there was a television in heaven so that Mimi, who adored TV shows, could see her performance and feel proud.

A fan expressed their feelings by saying, “I might not be interested in watching RHONY anymore now that you’re gone 💔

‘This is ridiculous. She was the best one on the cast,’ wrote another.

This news really brought tears to my eyes, but I’m genuinely thrilled about your upcoming adventure. However, I can’t help but feel that the team won’t be quite the same without you.

I can’t help but feel disappointed, as you shone so brilliantly during the first season. I had high hopes for your redemption in the third season, but it seemed the second one didn’t quite meet those expectations. Regardless, I wish you all the best of luck! This tempestuous season 15 reunion left me eagerly awaiting what lies ahead.

This fan was devastated: ‘I am breaking down in tears as I type.’

Conflict between Whitfield and fellow cast member Ubah Hassan escalated after Hassan made accusations that Whitfield slept with someone in order to secure a spot on the reality TV reboot.

Her leaving doesn’t imply that Whitfield is ending her entire media career. On the contrary, she will continue to host her podcast titled “Please See Below,” as well as work on writing a book.

She hinted that her upcoming book might provoke laughter, tears, and even some unexpected moments when it comes out towards the end of this year. However, she didn’t specify the exact publication date.

So far, I’ve revealed just a small part of myself, my experiences, and my lessons. This is the most exposed I’ve ever been in writing, she clarified.

Whitfield is not the only cast member to step away from the show.

Rebecca Minkoff, aged 44, announced in February that she was stepping away following season 15, expressing her desire to concentrate on her fantastic four children, loving spouse, long-standing business, the Female Founder Collective, her podcast, and writing her own book.

After Whitfield made fun of her, their relationship became strained as she found out that some of her designs were being sold at a discount store like Nordstrom Rack.

Minkoff acknowledged that it was okay if she didn’t appreciate his work. Regardless, he proudly mentioned that he had constructed a business valued at $100 million.
