CS2 Falcons at Stage 2 of BLAST Austin Major 2025: Mission to survive

As a dedicated Falcons fan and gamer, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment as we kick off our Major run with two losses under our belt. We were one of the top contenders, but now it’s do or die time for every game that follows. Let’s rally together, bring our A-game, and show the world what we’re made of!

Watching Team Falcons’ performances in recent tournaments has been a joy to behold. Since incorporating two elite players from G2, this organization has persistently risen to become one of the top three and even top two teams at major esports events. It seems that only Vitality stands between them and victory in significant grand finals.

In the early stages of BLAST Austin Major 2025, Team Falcons struggled significantly, losing both their matches and finding themselves in the elimination bracket. Interestingly, these losses were not against prominent esports teams, but rather less expected opponents, making their situation even more challenging and potentially disappointing for the team.

Hope persists, and it’s robust. In the third round of competition, Team Falcons managed to overcome OG, a victory crucial for their survival not just in this phase but throughout the Counter-Strike 2 BLAST Major held in Austin.

In Round 4 they face the next opponent: MIBR.

Team Falcons vs MIBR: Map scores, details, and the result

At the Austin Major 2025, I find myself standing on the brink of an intense Bo3 esports showdown between these two teams. Which one will emerge victorious in this thrilling best-of-three battle?

Aiming for the Playoffs heaven but stepping into the elimination hell

As a dedicated CS2 enthusiast, I don’t view setbacks like losses or potentially jeopardizing our tournament chances as tragedies. Instead, they serve as invigorating challenges that push us to improve our skills. However, it can be disheartening if we’re defeated by lesser-known opponents, leaving no room for recovery. But remember, every defeat is an opportunity to learn and grow stronger!

Falcons have been consistently securing top-tier victories persistently. They came very close to achieving this feat in several major competitions.

  • At IEM Melbourne 2025, Team Falcons reached the grand final but lost to Team Vitality.
  • BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 featured the same decisive match, and Vitality won again.

Earlier this time, Team Falcons emerged victorious at the PGL Bucharest 2025 event; however, it’s important to note that some of the top teams like Vitality, NAVI, Spirit, and MOUZ did not participate in the tournament.

At the second stage of the BLAST Austin Major 2025, Team Falcons suffered from two consecutive defeats, which resulted in them being relegated to the elimination bracket.

  • Falcons lost to B8, one of the phenomenal young teams at this CS2 Major.
  • Then, Team Falcons got defeated by Lynn Vision Gaming, which also was rather an underdog opponent.

In Round 3, Falcons managed to knock out OG, but they barely escaped with a win as the game was extremely tight.

MIBR entered the Major’s second stage just as the Falcons did. However, they experienced defeats against Legacy and Nemiga, but managed to triumph over BetBoom.

It’s not common to see the same elite-level results from this team as you would from the Falcons. MIBR has managed to reach 5th-8th place at PGL Astana 2025, which is their best performance of the year so far.

Keeping tabs on the Falcons’ progress throughout Stage 2, as well as the remainder of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, promises to be quite intriguing!
