Freddy Brazier has shared that he declined an invitation to participate in the dating series, Love Island, and aims to distance himself from his family legacy, preferring to carve out his own identity independent of his parentage.

20-year-old son of Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody, shared with The Mail that show producers had recently proposed a spot for him on their program.

‘I’m on Instagram, I don’t need Love Island,’ he said.

On Sunday, Freddy posted on Instagram that he’s chosen not to go to rehab, but rather prefers a guys’ vacation or a relaxing getaway as what he believes would be more beneficial for him.

Sharing an old monochrome picture of himself, he captioned it: “Truth be told, I don’t require rehabilitation! What I need is a fun getaway with some great friends, perhaps a relaxing retreat instead.

Previously, Freddy openly expressed a desire for mending a strong bond with his father, Jeff (age 46), following a disagreement within the family.

Freddy wrote: ‘I’ve made up my mind to reduce my habits, and I’m planning to seek treatment at a rehabilitation center in Marbella. I believe that if I stay in England, I might not commit fully to recovering.’

From the age of 12, I have been relying on smoking as a way to cope, but it has become an addiction. It served as a means to help me feel somewhat stable and sane during difficult times. Now, I realize it’s time to quit this harmful habit.

In 2009, when Freddy was only four years old, his mother passed away due to cervical cancer, leaving him under the care of his father, Jeff, ever since.
