Jodie Comer emotionally admits ‘I let myself down’ as she discusses ‘uncomfortable’ incident in a male-led acting workshop

In an interview, Jodie Comer shared a past experience from a predominantly male acting workshop that made her feel uneasy and hesitant to voice her opinions.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but confess that I felt a pang of self-disappointment when I realized I hadn’t voiced my worries about his actions promptly.

In British GQ’s Summer Issue, she shared that his manner of conducting the workshop carried an energy that left everyone feeling slightly uneasy.

Though Jodie provided rather unspecific accounts of the incident, she asserted that everyone in the workshop was left speechless and shocked by it.

Initially, everyone seemed to be expressing unease without speaking out, as if they were thinking, “Something isn’t quite fitting, but perhaps it went on for 15 minutes too long before someone suggested, ‘Why don’t we pause here?’ We all felt like we had unconsciously silenced ourselves. We were taken aback by the situation.

She said, “It’s about self-restraint. Am I allowed to? Is it right for me? Those brief instances when I reflect and realize, Oh, I didn’t live up to my expectations. I’m simply trying to treat myself with a bit more respect.

In the daring photo spread for the provocative cover, Jodie casually displayed her delicate, lace-trimmed undergarments as she confidently struck various poses, all while nonchalantly holding a cigarette.

On the front cover of the magazine, she flashed her toned figure in a thigh-high split black dress.

Switching things up a bit, I donned a pair of sleek black suspenders and draped myself in an over-sized, deep navy sweater – all for the love of fashion!

It comes after Jodie admitted she was ‘scared’ while filming new zombie thriller 28 Years Later.

In the upcoming movie, the actress will portray Isla, who is married to Jamie, the scavenger character played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

In a surprising twist, although the movie directed by Dany Boyle is meant to terrify film enthusiasts, Jodie shared that even though she played a role in it, she too was taken aback because she believes you can’t feign the feelings portrayed on screen.

In an interview before the movie premieres next week, Jodie shared her thoughts: “Working on a Danny Boyle set was simply incredible. I was captivated by how the camera interacted with the characters and the narrative, and witnessing this magic unfold.

Initially, I was quite shocked as I had been enjoying the scenic outdoors for some time, and then unexpectedly found myself being pursued. Fear coursed through me – it was a genuine emotion, hard to feign. In such intense circumstances, there’s an adrenaline rush, a sense of excitement, but also profound terror.

She further commented about the movie’s director, stating that “Danny infuses this genre with a sense of humanity and emotion.

It comes as Danny dropped a huge revelation about Cillian Murphy’s fate in the movie.

In the initial movie titled “28 Days Later,” Cillian Murphy, aged 49, played the role of a bike messenger who emerged from a coma to find out that an unintended virus release had occurred, this virus not only being highly infectious but also causing violent behavior in humans, leading to society’s collapse.

However, contrary to widespread anticipation that he might return to his original role for this follow-up, the trailer released in December seemed to depict a character reminiscent of Cillian’s character Jim from the first movie, but in a zombie-like state instead.

Conversely, this theory came crashing down when it emerged that the London art dealer and model was the person behind the scenes as the zombie character.

But, the theory fell apart when it turned out that the London art dealer and model was actually portraying the zombie role.

Initially, this idea held water. But then, it was disproved when it was unveiled that the London art dealer and model was acting as the zombie figure.

Now, it’s been verified by Danny that Cillian will show up in both the second and third movies of the upcoming trilogy. In addition to this, he is also taking on the role of executive producer.

Regarding Cillian’s part in the upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller, Danny mentioned to IGN: “He appears in the sequel,” cautiously noting: “I don’t want to reveal too much – or else I might end up meeting an untimely demise.

He further mentioned: ‘We haven’t secured funds for the third project as of now. Its success will hinge on how well the initial one performs. If things go well, we hope to receive approval for both funding and the third project. Everyone is eagerly waiting for that development, even Cillian.’

In a few short days, we’ll finally get to see the long-awaited sequel, “28 Years Later”, which has been eagerly awaited by fans for twenty years, as they impatiently wait to uncover the next chapter in the movie saga.

Almost thirty years since the Rage virus left the nation in ruins, this fresh film (released on June 19) will provide a glimpse into the diverse methods humans have employed to endure and thrive amidst such adversity.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d like to share an intriguing fact about one of my favorite movie settings: the enchanting island of Lindisfarne. This magical place can only be reached during ebb tide via a causeway, making it seem as though it floats on air at high tide. A truly unique experience!

The Heroes Issue of British GQ is available via digital download and on newsstands on June 10.
