Creature capturing became significantly more intriguing with the unveiling of Aniimo, an all-new, free-to-play open world action RPG, at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 8th, 2025. This exciting new game is scheduled to be released in 2026 and will be playable on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and mobile devices.
Under the banner of Kingsglory, a label owned by FunPlus and crafted by Pawprint Studio, Aniimo offers a new journey brimming with mystical beings, discovery, and an intriguing gameplay aspect known as Twining.
Set in the visually stunning world of Idyll, Aniimo brings amazing visuals and presentation to the mix
In the captivating universe of Iddyl, you’ll embark on an adventure through a realm brimming with enigmatic ruins, dynamic landscapes, and unique creatures known as Anima. Unlike typical collectibles, these Anima aren’t just for show; they can grow, evolve, and be studied to unveil their hidden abilities. Among the many Anima you might encounter are Emberpup, Budclaw, and Otti. Before diving into gameplay, take a moment to remember these fascinating creatures.

However, it’s the unique Twinning mechanic that sets this game apart. Instead of simply fighting beside your Aniimo companion, you’ll fuse with them! This feature offers a fresh perspective, unlocks distinct abilities, and alters the way you engage with the game world.
The scenery displayed in the launch trailer appears incredibly stunning. The cinematic scenes are of exceptional quality, and it seems that the gameplay itself offers impressive graphics, boasting detailed environments, smooth animations, and a visually dense world.

Given such a presentation, it’s reasonable to assume that the suggested specifications, particularly for mobile devices, will lean towards the more advanced. Users with mid-range or older smartphones may need to adjust settings or potentially consider an upgrade to fully immerse themselves in the intended experience.
Adventure games featuring exotic creatures are gradually gaining momentum, thanks to the triumph of Palworld. As Krafton is currently developing a mobile version, it’s safe to say that enthusiasts like us can anticipate even more games in this genre.
2026 marks the anticipated release of Aniimo, and a 7-day closed beta test exclusively on PC has been scheduled to give us an initial glimpse into its gameplay features. You can pre-register for Aniimo via email across PC, Xbox, and mobile platforms by visiting the official website. Don’t forget to explore the details available there!
