Simply powerful! FaZe are about to crash their way to Stage 3 of CS2 BLAST Austin Major 2025
In simpler terms, “Legacy” stands as their final adversary. Can FaZe’s gameplay be unstable enough for them to lose in this scenario? Meanwhile, in another match of this round, we have paiN facing off against Virtus.pro.
In this contest, Legacy serves as their last competitor. How much could FaZe’s performance falter for them to lose here? Simultaneously, in another match of this round, it’s paiN taking on Virtus.pro.
Fans are likely thrilled about the commencement of the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Austin Major 2025 for FaZe Clan, as tournament preparation at BLAST Rivals Spring and boot camp time appear to have significantly contributed to the team’s newfound harmony, specifically with s1mple.
With the CS:GO veteran on their team, FaZe Clutch (or simply FaZe) overcame two formidable adversaries. On the 8th of June, they stand to play what might be their final game in Stage 2 of this eSports tournament.
Following this round, a single team moves forward to the BLAST Austin Major 2025 Stage 3, a tournament where top CS2 teams worldwide compete for Playoff positions. Conversely, two teams will be ousted from the Major in this competition, and surprisingly, the Falcons find themselves in danger of elimination as well.

FaZe to fix their traumatic rounds?
Following their victory against FlyQuest at BLAST Spring Rivals 2025, Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski discussed the team’s struggle to bounce back from poor rounds. He likened this persistent issue to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), which was a strong analogy for the challenges that FaZe players face, even in their successful matches.
Following that event, the team brought on board s1mple as a new member. However, some issues didn’t surface until IEM Dallas 2025. Unfortunately for FaZe, they faced two consecutive losses against Team Liquid (0:2) and were subsequently eliminated by HEROIC.
It’s worth approaching our next guess with a bit of caution, as it seems like FaZe might have gotten past their previous struggles. They’ve performed quite well in the first two matches.
- FaZe defeated HEROIC, 13:3 on Dust II. It’s a very important emotional win for them. Going 10:1 on the CT side in the first half was just wonderful for the FaZe fam.
- FaZe won 13:5 on Anubis over TYLOO. The Chinese team proved to be a tough challenge at the Austin Major. They eliminated Complexity and FlyQuest in Stage 1.
Among a handful of Brazilian teams participating in the second stage of the Counter-Strike 2 BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, Legacy is one that isn’t as prominent or widely recognized as MIBR, paiN, and FURIA. Could this tournament serve as their opportunity to shine?
At IEM Dallas 2025, Legacy didn’t win any games, but their first opponent was Team Vitality. In addition, they suffered another defeat against 3DMAX.
In the first stage of the CS2 Major, the team successfully progressed through all five rounds, aiming for even greater success. They defeated Wildcard in the final showdown, a battle that seemed to favor their opponents. Could there be more unexpected victories ahead?
paiN and Virtus.pro: Climb up the CS2 esports ladder
paiN Gaming, much like any other Counter-Strike 2 team, consistently delivers emotional ups and downs for their supporters. They can put on a splendid show in certain matches, such as during the initial stages versus MOUZ at BLAST Rivals Spring, but they can also plunge to depths as low as a 0:13 defeat.
So far, paiN achieved two victories at the Austin Major, including a close one over FURIA.
Virtus.pro, often recognized as one of the top CS:2 teams, has not been maintaining a consistent lineup lately. They were surprisingly knocked out in the early stages of PGL Astana 2025 by MIBR and IEM Melbourne 2025 by FlyQuest.
At the BLAST Austing Major 2025, Virtus.pro defeated OG and B8.
Elimination abyss
In the CS2 Austin Major 2025, the final round for two esports teams has concluded. Some less-expected teams found themselves in the competition.
In a recent championship showdown, Team Falcons went head-to-head with Vitality, similar to their encounter at BLAST Rivals Spring 2025. However, this time around, they faced an unexpected defeat against B8 in the initial match and subsequently lost against Lynn Vision Gaming in Round 2.
Has MIBR regained its former greatness? Not quite, as they placed fifth at PGL Astana 2025. In the initial stages of the Major, they suffered defeats against Legacy and Nemiga.
- MIBR 0:0 BetBoom
- OG 0:0 Team Falcons
As a gamer, I’m pumped to share that we’ve got two more rounds coming up in Stage 2, featuring both advancement and elimination matches. Fast forward to June 12, that’s when the action really kicks off with Stage 3! Eight extra teams will be joining the fun, including Vitality, who’ve been tearing it up with their incredible match wins and tournament streak. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
