Adolescence has become Netflix’s second most-watched English-language series worldwide.
In the four-act play penned by Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne, we delve into the story of 13-year-old Jamie Miller (portrayed by newcomer Owen Cooper), who finds himself under suspicion for a tragic crime: the death of a fellow student at his school.
Following its March release, the show received universal acclaim from both critics and viewers due to its raw portrayal of gender violence.
The teen drama series Adolescence has been a massive success, breaking records by being the first streaming show to claim the top spot in the UK’s weekly TV ratings. Within only a few weeks of its debut, it climbed up to number four on Netflix’s list of most-watched English language shows of all time.
Over time, those figures have consistently increased, and currently, Adolescence ranks second on the list, boasting an impressive 141.2 million views.

It bumps the fourth season of Stranger Things down to number three, which has 140.7 million views.
Despite other shows falling short, “Wednesday,” the spin-off of “The Addams Family,” continues to dominate with a staggering 252.1 million views, maintaining its position as number one.
The supernatural mystery show is coming back for the initial segment of its second season on August 6th. The remaining segments will be available starting September 3rd.

For the upcoming season, Jenna Ortega will once again take on the title character’s role, joined by other familiar faces such as Luis Guzman, Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, and Catherine Zeta-Jones who are all set to return.
New cast members include Joanna Lumley, Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Thandiwe Newton and Lady Gaga.
In the second season, Wednesday will revisit Nevermore Academy, a place where she’ll need to maneuver through her relatives, companions, and past enemies, leading her towards another year filled with intriguing darkness and quirky chaos.
The summary hints at the possibility of Wednesday finding herself immersed in a fresh, spine-tingling supernatural enigma.
