Dakota Johnson ‘kisses’ hunky co-star at film premiere after ex Chris Martin’s shock shout-out amid split

At the New York City premiere of her movie, Materialists, on a Saturday, Dakota Johnson shared a kiss with her handsome co-star, puckering her lips in the process.

On the weekend, the actress, aged 35, attended the premiere of her romantic comedy alongside her co-star Chris Evans – this, after her separation from Chris Martin.

At the red carpet event, she seemed full of excitement as she smiled alongside Evans and displayed a cardboard likeness of her screen partner, Pedro Pascal.

At some point, Johnson and Evans were holding each other closely, and she bent down to plant a kiss on the lips of a cardboard figure named Pascal.

At her movie’s debut, she received the recognition shortly following Martin unexpectedly mentioning her during the finale of Coldplay’s concert in Las Vegas on the previous evening.

During a pause in his performance, the singer, who is 48 years old, surprisingly mentioned Johnson’s recent movie while engaging with the audience between songs.

Johnson and Martin were previously engaged and had been together for some eight years.

After his public announcement, Johnson was on the East Coast, preparing for the premiere of his romantic comedy film this coming Saturday evening. The movie will be released in theaters the following week.

At her debut event, Johnson (daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson) chose an eye-catching ensemble, donning a sleek black silk gown and accessorizing with striking, oversized earrings.

She exuded an equal combination of grace and style while striking a pose on the red carpet, wearing an asymmetrical halter dress paired with a long neck scarf trailing behind her as she moved.

Johnson matched the dress with a pair of sleek black sandals featuring thin straps, and adorned her wrists with delicate diamond accessories.

She left her brunette hair down in a straight hairstyle and rocked a rosy, glowy makeup look. 

At the event, Evans stuck close to her side, looking handsome in his navy suit. 

He was dapper with an open, dark blue blazer layered over a white polo shirt and trousers. 

The Marvel star showed off his charm with a gelled-back quiff hairstyle and round glasses.

Additionally, she was spotted making her way to the event in a stylish, revealing dress with a low back and fashionable cat-eyed sunglasses, rounding out her chic, Hollywood-inspired appearance.

While heading out from her hotel, she was greeted by a crowd of her fans cheering her on.

As she left the building, she maintained a stoic expression; however, upon spotting her admirers, her countenance transformed into a radiant grin.

In the film, Johnson plays Lucy, a successful matchmaker based in New York City, who finds herself in a tangled love affair after becoming part of a three-way romance.

In the storyline, Pedro Pascal portrays Harry Castillo, an ideal suitor whom she becomes entangled with, whereas Chris Evans takes on the role of John, her previously flawed partner.

The film, directed by the Academy Award-nominated director Celine Song, boasts a talented cast including Dasha Nekrasova, Louisa Jacobson, Zoe Winters, and several others.

Materialists will receive a theatrical release on June 13.
