Paddy McGuinness reveals his secret celebrity crush amid claims his ex Christine ‘exchanged flirty texts’ with Dan Osborne

51-year-old ex-host of Top Gear found himself tuned in to a game of Celebrity Bridge on Channel 4, sitting next to Vernon Kay. Unexpectedly, the screen displayed Rachel Riley, a familiar face from Countdown.

However, Paddy, who separated from his wife Christine, the mother of his three children in 2022 following 11 years of marriage, didn’t seem affected as he admitted that the math whiz had always been his secret crush, ‘a feeling he wasn’t supposed to entertain’.

He confessed, “Rachel Riley has a certain charm. I can’t quite put my finger on it. It’s like an unexpected infatuation with a celebrity.

Vernon stated, “She supports Manchester United,” causing Paddy to flinch. “I can’t stand her anymore!” he exclaimed, his face showing clear disgust.

In a recent development, Rachel, whom Paddy harbors affection for, is now single following her separation from her ex-husband, professional dancer Pasha Kovalev, who was once associated with Strictly Come Dancing, in 2023, after almost a decade of being together.

In 2013, their romantic journey started when Rachel made an appearance on ‘Strictly’, not long after she had announced her separation from her previous spouse.

In a lively conversation among viewers, not just Paddy’s playful revelation about his famous admiration was a topic, but last night’s installment of Celebrity Gogglebox was significant as it saw Paddy rejoining the couch with Vernon Kay.

But more recently ‘flirty’ texts between Christine and TOWIE’s Dan Osborne have been unearthed. 

Back in 2019, it became evident that the former TV personality, aged 33, and Paddy’s ex-partner were struggling to conceal their growing closeness, as they had been providing mutual support amidst each other’s marital issues.

Reports suggest that during times when they were providing mutual support amidst their personal hardships, it is alleged that they shared playful messages with a romantic undertone. Also, photographs of them together are dated back to March 2023.

Reports suggested that during their marital difficulties, Christine and Dan found solace in one another, and even shared playful text messages with each other.

It appears that the model was affectionately referred to as ‘Dan’s D’ in some playful text messages, and they were spotted together at The Hoxton hotel in London during March of 2023.

Following the revelation of their strong bond, it’s been reported that Christine strongly asserted there was no sexual involvement between them, while Dan proposed the possibility that the exchanged messages might be manipulated content (deep fakes) or artificial intelligence.
