Gemma Collins ‘feels like she’s dying’ amid devastating battle with pneumonia as she’s left struggling to breathe and forced to undergo X-rays at home

In the most recent update on her health, reality star Gemma Collins admitted that she feels as if she’s near death while fighting her challenging struggle against pneumonia.

Previously known TOWIE celebrity, aged 44, disclosed earlier in the week that she had been struggling with the health issue for nearly a month, followed by sharing on her Instagram Stories on Friday images of herself getting X-rays taken at her residence in Essex.

Gemma shared that her health issue was causing her to become out of breath rather swiftly. However, since doctors have diagnosed it as a virus, antibiotics won’t provide any benefit.

She shared with The Mirror, “‘I find it startling; I’ve been using them for more than three weeks now, prescribed by my physician. It was DJ Fat Tony’s wedding, and I needed them to make it through the event.’

However, I’ve stopped using those substances, yet my illness seems to be resurfacing again. It’s incredibly vexing as I usually brim with vitality and relish every moment of life, but now I become short of breath easily and it feels like I’m near death.

In her Instagram Stories, Gemma posted pictures during her X-ray sessions, expressing appreciation for the kindness shown by the medical team.

She wrote: ‘Thank you to all the amazing doctors helping me your real life angels’. 

On Wednesday, Gemma publicly disclosed her current state by posting a photograph showing her lying in bed, not looking well.

Hi there! I apologize for my absence; I’ve been dealing with Pneumonia, which means I’m not operating at my usual speed and focus right now.

Although my current work responsibilities are draining all my energy, rest assured that I won’t be away for long. I’ll be back to entertain you all shortly.

On her Story she added an update as she showed she was on a drip and had been visited by a doctor. 

A social media post with an image of a drip in her arm stated: ‘I have to go slow, which isn’t typical for me. I get winded and fatigued quickly.’

Gemma also shared a snap with her pet pooch Gucci who she said was ‘giving her lots of cuddles.’

A patient expressed gratitude to everyone assisting her, including doctors, as she stated, “I appreciate each one of you. I’ve been battling pneumonia for the past three weeks, and it’s an understatement when I say that I can’t thank all of you enough.

It comes after just last week she was seen in good spirits attending the Chelsea Flower Show.

In the past three months, after transitioning from a size 26 to a size 20 with the aid of the weight loss injection Mounjaro, Gemma showcased her trimmer silhouette in an ethereal gown featuring flowing caped sleeves, which she paired over a slip.

She also attended DJ Fat Tony’s wedding over the weekend where she was a bridesmaid. 

After the individual asserted that she was “helping save the NHS” by using Mounjaro following a weight loss of approximately four pounds (two stones), it occurred subsequently.

According to Gemma, she won’t have to visit the NHS due to obesity-related health issues anymore, as she has been aided by the prescribed medication.

In January, she disclosed that she had been administering Mounjaro injections, which are approved by the NHS, and her remarkable change has left fans speechless.

She informed The Mirror: “I’ve shed an astonishing amount of weight; it’s hard to believe! What’s more, I’ve been able to do this without resorting to a strict diet or causing myself undue stress.

I believe I’m contributing to the NHS’s wellbeing. Since I’m making conscious efforts to avoid obesity-related health issues, I won’t be burdening this vital service. It feels great to live a healthy lifestyle, my dear.
