Next week, David Beckham will receive a knighthood during the King’s Birthday Honors, making him “Sir David Beckham”. Meanwhile, his stylish spouse, known for her pout, will be recognized as “Lady Beckham.

Hasn’t it occurred to the royal family that they might have overlooked something? Is it possible that Charles believes a high-pitched, millionaire with tax avoidance allegations on his record truly deserves this honor?

Instead of showing a red card, I would say it’s more like he’s cashed in big time post-retirement, with numerous endorsements raking in the money, a la Goldenballs on the field.
