Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness are dividing their luxury $24 million penthouse in New York City as part of their contentious divorce proceedings.
After their separation due to a perceived betrayal, as described by Furness, Hugh Jackman (age 56) and Toni Collette (age 69) are currently in the process of dividing their properties and assets.
Meanwhile, they are yet to determine how to allocate their remaining $387 million wealth, the former partners have agreed to divide their $24 million real estate in Manhattan equally.
On June 2nd, records were submitted to the city about the properties that both Jackman and Furness jointly owned (previously known as their shared love nest). These details were revealed in documents we’ve obtained from DailyMail.com.

In 2022, a three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom penthouse that a pair bought jointly for $21.12 million didn’t appear on the market, but instead, there was a change in ownership of the property.

What caught my eye was the conspicuous presence of my idols’ long-term legal advisor and their shell companies, neatly tucked away on both sides of the deed, indicating a complex web of transactions that I find fascinating.
The documents show that Lackawanna LLC, a limited liability company which the duo had earlier employed to buy their house, subsequently transferred the penthouse to Phoenix Rising I LLC for a sum of $11.7 million.
The documents indicate that the LLC (Lackawanna) used by the couple before to purchase their home was then involved in transferring the penthouse to another LLC (Phoenix Rising I LLC), at a price of $11.7 million.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but see the significance of the Phoenix Rising connection with Furness. To me, it feels like a powerful metaphor, representing the process of rising from the ashes – a symbol of rebirth and renewal, perhaps signifying a fresh start post-divorce.
Initially, the property was recorded as being sold for $23.6 million. However, it appears that Furness received the property through a shell company at a price barely reaching half of that original amount.
The deed also shows that the transaction was made between ‘relatives or former relatives.’
The documentation indicates that Phoenix Rising I LLC, along with the pair, share a Beverly Hills location with their long-term legal counselors, specifically Grant Tani Barash & Altman Inc., who were involved in both aspects of the transaction.
The property at hand is a spacious residence featuring three bedrooms and 3.5 baths, which Jackman and Furness acquired from a renowned architect. They previously resided in it while maintaining a lifestyle that involved moving between multiple properties on both coasts.
Their vast real estate holdings stretch out over no less than three continents, encompassing numerous properties worth millions each.
They boast multiple high-end real estate holdings spread throughout the United States, such as an additional property in New York City’s West Village (a triplex) and others, as well as properties in England and Australia.





The previously mentioned, somewhat prestigious New York City apartment was created by Jean Nouvel – an acclaimed architect who also designed the Louvre Abu Dhabi, winner of the Pritzker Prize.
As an ardent admirer, let me share my delight: This penthouse boasts a private elevator access, offering a breathtaking panorama of the Hudson River and Manhattan’s iconic skyline. Moreover, it flaunts 14-foot-tall windows that stretch from floor to ceiling, adorning approximately 4,675 square feet of space – a sight that leaves me utterly spellbound!
Previously, they used to appreciate the rooftop terrace equipped with an open-air kitchen and a versatile room which could be transformed into an additional lounge area.
Jackman and Furness’s plans for their other New York City property has not yet been revealed.
In 2010, they bought the triplex on Perry Street and listed it for sale at a price of $38.9 million in 2022.
Approximately two years later, it seems they removed the 11,000-square-foot property from sale, as repeated price reductions didn’t manage to find a buyer.
The property remains in the hands of their shell company Lackawanna LLC.
For approximately two and a half decades, Jackman and Furness, a couple since 1996, declared their decision to part ways in the year 2023, marking an end to their 27-year long marriage.







At the time, they cited a desire to pursue ‘individual growth.’
