Red Bull Tetris World Final 2025 brings over 2,000 drones to light up Dubai Frame
2025 here I come, as a gamer pumped to the max! Can you believe it? The Red Bull Tetris World Final is taking things to a whole new level – literally! Instead of the usual screen, we’ll be playing on a live, playable Tetris game in the sky. And how do they plan to pull this off? By having over 2,000 drones swarming into action! So, buckle up, folks, because it’s going to be one heck of a Tetris ride!
On World Tetris Day, Red Bull unveiled its international esports competition for Tetris and began accepting entries worldwide. The top contenders will move on to the Red Bull Tetris World Championship, set to take place this winter in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The opportunity to register for the global qualifiers taking place in Canada is now available, with the deadline set for October 31st. Participants from more than 55 different countries can take part in mobile competitions to advance their national rankings. The highest-scoring players will subsequently be granted invitations to the national final in Toronto on November 15th, where they’ll engage in head-to-head (1v1) matches on PC.

In due course, it’s only the top-tier players who will showcase their skills for their respective countries at the Red Bull Tetris World Final. Prior to the grand finale, these finalists will go head-to-head in a preliminary round to establish their tournament positions. The main event spans from December 11 to 13 and includes music concerts and appearances by special guests.
As per Red Bull, the 13th of December is set to feature a live finale game and an awe-inspiring drone display synchronized in the skies above the Dubai Frame. Tickets for the audience to attend this event will be up for sale shortly.

Rogers went on to say that teaming up with Red Bull for a worldwide competition marks a thrilling new phase for the company. He further stated, “At Tetris, we’re deeply invested in enhancing how people interact with the game, and this tournament is another significant move towards spreading the delight of Tetris across the globe.
