Lisa Kudrow’s Surprising Thoughts on Joining ‘The White Lotus’ Will Leave You Shocked!
Two months following the conclusion of its third season, fans are already guessing which actors might make an appearance in Season 4 of the intense HBO satirical comedy-drama. Yet, one potential candidate for a Season 4 role has expressed some reservations about joining the series due to its “complex” nature, as actress Lisa Kudrow expresses her thoughts on potentially reprising her character.
During an interview with Parker Posey, who plays a beloved character on The White Lotus, Kudrow expressed interest in joining the cast if presented with the chance. When Posey hinted at Kudrow fitting well into the show and suggested that a massive TikTok campaign could make it happen, Kudrow playfully replied, “That’s how things get done.
After Posey suggested that showrunner Mike White might have a compelling story, Kudrow acknowledged that the frequently violent series is something she’s generally steered clear of in her career. “I may not be his preferred choice, and that’s perfectly fine.
However, I do get apprehensive about immersing myself in overly dark material; I try to avoid it. But you didn’t actually need to, except for the scenes where your head explodes. But it’s all just pretend,” she said.
As a follower, I can confirm that I’m a big fan of Mike White’s work and we have a good rapport with each other. The possibility of collaborating on The White Lotus is intriguing. Working with Mike White? Definitely! Mike White’s work resonated with me, especially “Brad’s Status” which was my favorite movie that year. I even took the time to email him to express my admiration for his work, something I don’t usually do but felt compelled to this time because it was that good.
In simpler terms, Lisa Kudrow’s most recent appearance on television was in a Netflix dark comedy series called “No One Lives with You,” where she worked alongside Ray Romano, a renowned sitcom veteran. This show received positive reviews with an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Other recent projects of hers include the Apple TV+’s fantasy series titled “Trying” and a comedy horror film named “The Parenting” where she acted alongside Elijah Wood (Posey) and Brian Cox.
The White Lotus Season 3 Was a Hit Despite a Disappointing Ending
Season 3 of “The White Lotus” presents Posey alongside Walter Goggins, Leslie Bigg, Carrie Coon, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood, and Sam Rockwell. This season, which follows the stories of staff and affluent visitors at a Thai wellness resort, holds the record as the most-watched in the series so far. It also boasts an 86% critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, some critics have given it more unfavorable reviews than usual due to its pacing and a somewhat lackluster ending.
In January, it was announced that HBO will continue the hit series The White Lotus for a fourth season. Since its debut in 2021, the show has amassed an impressive collection of awards, including 10 Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes.
Fans can stream The White Lotus Season 3 via Max.
