Amanda Seyfried Stuns in Little Black Dress Ahead of The Housemaid Press Run
On Christmas Day, the psychological thriller movie “The Housemaid” will debut in cinemas, promising an exciting media blitz from stars Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney. At CinemaCon, where they unveiled the first footage of “The Housemaid”, Sydney Sweeney was stunning in a corseted gown, while Amanda Seyfried drew comparisons to “Mean Girls”‘ Karen Smith with her plaid miniskirt and semi-transparent white top. As more red carpet events approach, Seyfried is already setting fashion trends in a little black dress.
Amanda Seyfried’s latest film, titled “I Don’t Understand You,” released in 2025, has recently graced the big screens. During the comedy-horror’s premiere in New York City, she turned heads wearing a sleek little black dress that beautifully accentuated her.
According to WWD, the lead actor of “The Dropout” is wearing a chic black maxi gown by Rabanne, featuring a cowl neck and mid-length hem. What catches my eye most, however, are the fringed pieces that extend from the waist to the hem, giving the dress an elegant 1920s flapper vibe while maintaining a festive air. As someone who appreciates long, black gowns, this style perfectly strikes the chord for me.
Throughout the past year, designs from the French luxury fashion house Paco Rabanne have been quite prominent. For instance, at the 76th Emmys, Ella Purnell’s silver metallic dress embodied a futuristic vibe. Additionally, the brand offered more than just elegant attire; they also created striking outfits like Anya Taylor-Joy’s bold spiky dress and arrow-adorned crown, which conveyed a strong message of being fearless and unapproachable.
Although Amanda Seyfried’s little black dress from Rabanne might not stand out as much in terms of its overall design when compared to other pieces, the intricate fringe details on the dress exude an Old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist that definitely catches my eye.
As a film enthusiast, I’m absolutely thrilled to find out what stunning styles she’ll be sporting during the promotional events for her upcoming movie, “The Housemaid,” alongside the renowned fashion icon, Sydney Sweeney. Can’t wait!
I’m equally thrilled about the upcoming press run for “The Housemaid” as I am about the movie itself! In this film, Seyfried portrays Nina Winchester, a wealthy woman hiring a new housemaid, Millie (Sweeney). However, the maid becomes suspicious of the manor’s secrets and wonders if her life is in danger due to the housekeeper’s erratic behavior. As an ardent reader of Freida McFadden’s book, I can’t wait to witness the suspenseful twists that made it a captivating read for me. Given Seyfried’s impressive range shown in both lighter and darker roles recently, I’m convinced she’ll deliver an outstanding performance as Nina.
The cinematic journey for “The Housemaid” has yet to commence. However, if Amanda Seyfried’s future wardrobe even slightly resembles the little black dress she donned at her last movie premiere, then we’re looking at a red carpet season worth remembering. The film adaptation of this book, set to hit theaters on Christmas Day, will mark its debut on the big screen.
