Jennifer Lopez has landed her sexiest role to date.
55-year-old singing legend was spotted wearing smooth nightwear and passionately kissing Diego Luna, age 45, in the debut trailer for her film titled “The Kiss of the Spider Woman.
Moreover, it’s worth noting that her former spouse, Ben Affleck, along with his close friend Matt Damon, have taken on the role of executive producers for this movie.
The movie is a modern adaptation, derived from the 1993 stage musical that itself was inspired by Manuel Puig’s 1976 book with the same title.
In the play, Lopez embodies a fictional character called Aurora, who originated from the mind of imprisoned gay hairstylist Luis Molina, known as Tonatiuh.
The musical from director Bill Condon is set to debut on October 10, 2025.
In the story, Molina is serving eight years behind bars ‘for corrupting a minor.’
In his attempts to find solace during confinement, he daydreams about movies featuring Aurora, taking on roles that were once portrayed by Sonia Braga.
The native of the Bronx, an actress, portrays a fictional character called Aurora. This character was conceived by imprisoned hairstylist Luis Molina.
The film stars Tonatiuh (pictured) as the hairdresser and Luna as his cellmate.
In one imaginative portrayal, Aurora takes on the role of a spider woman, using lethal kisses to claim her victims.
As the story unfolds, Molina develops a bond with his fellow inmate, Valentin Arregui (Luna), who espouses Marxist beliefs.
Rehearsals began in February 2024, and filming kicked off in New Jersey in April.
A film adaptation of the book was previously made in 1985 by director Héctor Babenco.
The movie and its stage adaptation on Broadway were both highly praised by critics, winning multiple awards and recognitions.
William Hurt, who played Molina in the feature, won an Oscar for Best Actor.
Meanwhile, the musical earned a whopping seven Tony Awards, including one for best musical.
The movie “Kiss of the Spider Woman” made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January. It is scheduled for theater release on October 10, 2025.
Other films that Jennifer and Ben worked on together include This Is Me… Now and Unstoppable.
They also collaborated on a hilarious Dunkin’ Donuts commercial with Damon.
Jennifer and Benjamin (formerly known as Bennifer) crossed paths approximately 20 years ago while working together on the comedy film, Gigli.
Recently, Lopez completed shooting for her new romantic comedy titled Office Romance. In this movie, she shares the screen with Brett Goldstein, a 43-year-old actor famously recognized for his part in Ted Lasso.
The conclusion of her shoot occurred around the same time that it was rumored Jennifer and her ex-partner Affleck, aged 51, lowered the asking price substantially for their home in Bel Air, California.
As per a TMZ report, the owners of the 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom mansion have reduced its price from $68 million to $60 million. They had bought it back in May 2023 for $60,850,000. This property was initially put up for sale in July 2024.

From what I gather, it appears Ben has been advocating for a price reduction on their shared property, hoping this would make it more attractive to potential buyers, ultimately expediting its sale.
According to a source, Ben has decided to move on since his divorce is finalized, and he wishes to completely sever any connections, hence his desire to dispose of it.
‘He just wants it over and to sell it. He wants to reduce the price.’
According to another source, Jennifer believes they could secure a higher sale price for the property, hence her preference to maintain the current asking price. However, the current real estate market isn’t favorable, and the house isn’t selling.
The experts mentioned on the site believe that the property is too expensive, indicating a possible reduction of at least 15% to make it appealing to potential buyers.
The high cost of insurance, estimated at around $500,000 annually for a hillside property, has become a significant barrier. Additionally, wildfires in Southern California this year have amplified worries related to fire risks.
By mid-September 2024, approximately a month following their listing, it’s said that Jennifer and Ben accepted a $64 million offer from a couple residing in New Jersey. However, unfortunately, the agreement could not be finalized due to a tragic family loss.
During October, Jason Oppenheim from Selling Sunset mentioned to Realtor.com that it was quite unexpected for the property to be sold within fewer than 100 days.
