Showtime Series With a 93% RT Audience Score Is Getting a Fifth Season
Two weeks after the airing of the second part of its fourth season, the documentary series “Couples Therapy” has been revived on Paramount+. According to reports, the Season 4B debut on May 23 saw a 30% jump in multi-platform viewership compared to Season 3.
The show “Couples Therapy” debuted in the year 2019, and it’s now receiving acclaim with a remarkable 93% audience approval on Rotten Tomatoes, along with an impressive 8.4/10 rating on IMDb.
“Real-Life” Therapy Sessions are the Focus of Couples Therapy
The television program, titled ‘Couples Therapy,’ presents renowned psychologist Dr. Orna Guralnik, guiding couples through their therapy sessions. This series offers a unique glimpse, allowing viewers to peer into the private therapy sessions, revealing the conflicts and remarkable breakthroughs that usually remain hidden behind closed doors.
Edgeline Films creates “Couples Therapy,” while Josh Kriegman, Elyse Steinberg, Eli Despres serve as executive producers alongside Vinnie Malhotra. For the second half of Season 4, Matt Parker, Bennett Elliott, and Carly Hugo are in charge of production. Pax Wassermann and Elliott direct Season 4B. The distribution rights belong to Paramount Global Content Distribution.

The Second-longest Running Show for Showtime Currently
Following its renewal for a fifth season, “Couples Therapy” has become Showtime’s second-longest-airing show, with “The Chi,” which debuted in 2018, holding the record as their longest-running series on the network.
On Showtime, you’ll find a variety of returning shows such as The Agency, Dexter: Original Sin, all of which have been renewed for another season. In July, the sequel to Dexter, titled Dexter: Resurrection, is set to make its debut on Showtime.
The spirit of “The Chi” revitalized following the premiere of its seventh season. In its initial seven days alone, the show attracted 2 million viewers across multiple platforms, representing a 2% increase compared to its previous season. Notably, “The Chi” joins the ranks of Showtime’s longest-running series, alongside shows such as “Weeds,” which spanned eight seasons, and another yet undisclosed title with an impressive run of 11 seasons.
