Move over Britney Spears! There’s a new pop queen in town dancing in her bra and underwear
Addison Rae performed during the Spotify release party at The Box in New York City on Thursday.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I gracefully performed my latest hits amidst a throng of dancing companions, all while donning an understated ensemble in shades reminiscent of my skin tone – a nude-hued bra and undergarments that perfectly accentuated the moment.
Rae has served up a dreamy pop album flaunting her ‘sensual and sexual’ personality.
24-year-old internet sensation officially unveils her first, self-named album, which includes popular tracks “Diet Pepsi” and “Aquamarine.
She shared with Variety the emotions she aimed to convey: “For certain, nothing we created referenced anything when making this album. Instead, it was about me trying to evoke a feeling from a song or music itself.

I have a strong appreciation for the sensual and sexual aspects of life. I deeply cherish and understand my own body, which is reflected in all areas of my being. Everything I do seems to carry a deep sense of personal significance.
Addison also shared that having her debut album produced entirely by women was ‘really special’.
The singer said working with Luka Kloser and Elvira on the record was ‘beautiful and magical’.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I must say, there’s an extraordinary connection I cherish with this group of women. It carries an enchanting and mystical aura that comes from the shared femininity among us.
Originally, I didn’t intend for things to turn out this way, as it’s quite uncommon to have only women in a workspace. Such situations aren’t often presented to us.
Despite being tagged as the newest “It girl” in pop music, Addison expresses her caution about the acclaim she’s receiving.
She expressed: ‘That’s clearly a flattering remark. To be honest, being called the ‘pop girl’ isn’t entirely clear. If my songs become more well-known, perhaps they’ll use that title for me. This is my opportunity. I need to make a big impact.’

In the meantime, Addison, whose first single Obsessed was released in 2023, has shared thoughts on how TikTok served as an ideal platform to kickstart her career.
On Apple Music 1, she shared with Zane Lowe that from the start of her journey, she had a clear intention to create music. She also desired to act. Essentially, she’s always felt drawn to performing.
‘That was just something that was really obvious to me since I was a little girl.
In my journey, when TikTok emerged, it felt like an enticing pathway toward Los Angeles. As a resident of Louisiana, I found fewer chances or prospects to delve into the same profession there compared to LA. Except for those who happened to get incredibly fortunate, the opportunities were scarce in Louisiana.
Addison gained popularity with her dance videos on TikTok in 2019.
And by March 2020, rapper The Kid Laroi caused a buzz when he released a song titled Addison Rae.
Then she made her film debut in 2021’s He’s All That and released Obsessed two years later.
