The Handmaid’s Tale star’s new psychological thriller shares major casting update

Leslie Odom Jr from “Hamilton” has been cast in Apple TV+’s upcoming miniseries titled “Imperfect Women“, which features Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington as stars and executive producers.

Originally unveiled a year ago, this psychological thriller draws inspiration from Araminta Hall’s eponymous novel. The story revolves around a crime that disrupts the longstanding bond between three female friends, leaving their lives in pieces.

Delving into the enigma of ‘Perfect Women,’ I find myself grappling with the intricacies of guilt and retribution, love and deceit, and the transformative choices we make which reshape our destinies forever.

Over the course of the investigation, it becomes clearer that close relationships can undergo significant transformations as they evolve through time.

As I eagerly anticipate the upcoming series, it appears that according to Deadline, I’ll be seeing Elijah Odom Jr joining forces with Moss, Washington, and an impressive cast including Kate Mara, Joel Kinnaman, and Corey Stoll. They’ve been announced as recurring characters in this production, and I can hardly wait!

Annie Weisman is adapting ‘Imperfect Women’ for television screens, with Lesli Linka Glatter set to direct the initial episode.

After wrapping up “The Handmaid’s Tale” following six seasons, Moss had earlier referred to the upcoming series as a “perfect fit.

Ever since I got my hands on Araminta’s novel, I found myself utterly captivated. The story had a magnetic pull that made it impossible to stop reading. From the very first page, I was smitten by its charm.

For quite some time, I’ve held Kerry in high regard for her acting and producing skills. I’ve long desired a chance to collaborate with her, and my excitement knew no bounds when she showed interest in our project after we submitted the material to her.

For many years, Washington has admired her immensely – not just as a talented actress, but also as a pioneering producer.

Elisabeth and Lindsey McManus show exceptional style, clearly demonstrated by their advocacy for Araminta’s captivating book. In my opinion, there isn’t anyone more suited to translate this story into a film than the talented Annie Weisman.
