Although some fresh faces managed to climb higher, Honor of Kings and Block Blast! continue to dominate in terms of revenue and downloads. Let’s take a closer look at the chart and explore the games that generated the most buzz during the past month.

Top Mobile Games by Downloads for May 2025

Man, I just can’t get enough of Block Blast! It’s been unstoppable, reaching a staggering 35.8 million downloads this month – a slight dip from April, but still holding strong at the number one spot! Roblox followed closely behind with an impressive 22.9 million downloads, and Subway Surfers continued its high-speed journey in third place with 15.5 million downloads. This trio of gaming giants is truly setting the mobile gaming world ablaze!

Despite the first three positions remaining unaltered, there were some unexpected moves from the fourth spot. Notably, “Meme Merge: Drop Puzzle” significantly rose to fourth place with an impressive 14.2 million, and “Ludo King” and “Pizza Ready!” trailed closely behind, recording similar numbers.

In a significant jump, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang moved up to the seventh spot with approximately 12.3 million app downloads, which had previously left it out of the rankings. Free Fire and Free Fire MAX once more secured positions 8 and 9, each garnering around 11 million downloads.

Colorful and unconventional games such as “Hole.io,” “Merge Fellas,” and “No Wifi – Antistress Relax Toys” introduced a vibrant mix to the selection. On the other hand, fresh entries like “Brain Rotted Tiptap Challenge,” “My Talking Tom 2,” and “Royal Kingdom” completed the top 15.

This month was another jaw-dropping success for me as an Honor of Kings fan, leading the pack with a staggering $184.2 million in earnings, solidifying its status as a global gaming colossus. Whiteout Survival didn’t lag far behind, raking in an impressive $137 million, while Last War: Survival trailed closely, earning roughly $133.1 million – a tight race indeed, with these titles frequently swapping positions!

In the game of mobile gaming revenue, Royal Match held onto its puzzle dominion at the fourth position, earning approximately $127.2 million. On the other hand, PUBG Mobile moved down to fifth place, still bringing in a substantial $119.3 million. Despite seeing a dip in download numbers, it remains a heavyweight player in the gaming industry. Meanwhile, Candy Crush Saga continued its sugarcoated success by making around $105 million.

The popular game Monopoly GO! continued to rank among the top 10 money-makers, earning close to $100 million, and the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket also held strong with approximately $81.1 million in earnings. Completing the top 10 were Coin Master, Gossip Harbor, and an unexpected addition, SD Gundam G Generation ETERNAL.

At the lower end of the top 15 competitive games, there were four titles holding their ground: Brawl Stars, Honkai: Star Rail, Township, and Love and Deepspace. Each game generated over $38 million, making up the list.
