Jennifer Lopez fans rave over Kiss Of The Spider Woman teaser as they predict Oscar nomination
The first trailer for Kiss of the Spider Woman, starring Jennifer Lopez, was released on Thursday.
Spectators were incredibly impressed by the performance of the 55-year-old star, who recently hosted the American Music Awards, commending her acting abilities and musical skills. They praised her growth and even suggested that she might receive an Academy Award nomination.
Upcoming film featuring actors Tonatiuh and Diego Luna is a modern adaptation of the 1993 Broadway musical, itself inspired by Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel with the same title.
In the script for the musical, it was written by the deceased Terrence McNally. John Kander and Fred Ebb were responsible for creating the soundtrack for the film.
The actress born in the Bronx portrays a fictional character called Aurora. This character was conceived by incarcerated gay hairstylist Luis Molina, known as Tonatiuh.
One individual posted on Instagram, ‘This film may earn Jennifer an Oscar nomination. It’s absolutely stunning.’

‘Hello????! I hear an Oscar win!! This looks phenomenal!!’ someone else said.
Another chimed in, ‘Isn’t it amazing if we could applaud @jlo’s transformation? She’s truly leveraged her abilities and image, consistently innovating herself! Incredible, right?’
‘Can we talk about how good this style of music sounds on her!? I’m shook,’ added another follower.
Additionally, another social media user mimicked an Oscar presenter by saying, “The 2026 Best Supporting Actress Oscar is awarded to… Jennifer Lopez!
One well-wisher said, “The greatest moments lie ahead for you… Your Oscar is on its way… Everyone else, hang in there.
A different fan exclaimed, filled with excitement, ‘This is going to be your OSCAR win, I can feel it!’, accompanied by a series of gold trophy symbols.
As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but exclaim, “J.Lo, it’s high time you received that coveted Oscar! This is your shining hour! Your tireless efforts deserve recognition and the utmost respect.
In the tale, Molina is spending eight years in prison for allegedly corrupting a minor. While he’s incarcerated, he escapes his woes by picturing movies featuring Aurora as a means of distraction.

In one imagined portrayal, Aurora takes on the role of a spider-like figure, using her lips to end the lives of her targets.
As the story unfolds, Molina develops a bond with his fellow inmate, Valentin Arregui (Luna), who holds Marxist beliefs.
Rehearsals began in February 2024, and filming kicked off in New Jersey in April.
A film adaptation of the book was previously made in 1985 by director Héctor Babenco.
The movie and its stage adaptation on Broadway both received high praise, earning numerous awards and honors along the way.
William Hurt, who played Molina in the feature, won an Oscar for Best Actor.
Meanwhile, the musical earned a whopping seven Tony Awards, including one for best musical.
The film “Kiss of the Spider Woman” was first screened at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Its official theater release is scheduled for October 10th.
