Ben Affleck’s “agreeably loopy” thriller sequel has just been added to Prime Video
An “agreeably loopy” crime caper starring Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal has arrived on Prime Video.
In the sequel, titled “The Accountant 2“, we follow certified public accountant Christian Wolff, portrayed by Affleck, as he joins forces with his long-lost and formidable brother Brax (Bernthal). Together, they embark on a mission to identify and apprehend a secretive squad of deadly assassins.
Working together with the U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Medina, they expose a lethal plot and find themselves pursued by a merciless band of assassins.

This new story follows as a continuation of the 2016 suspenseful film titled “The Accountant“. In this installment, Christian finds himself in a predicament where he must deceive the FBI and conceal his unorthodox practice of untangling criminals’ financial records to uncover fraud by accepting a legitimate client.
The sequel to “The Accountant”, titled “The Accountant 2”, hit the screens in April and received favorable critiques. It went on to earn a global revenue of $101 million, with a third installment already underway for production.

When The Accountant 2 hit the screens, I found Variety calling it “delightfully eccentric,” and Screen International praising its ability to “embrace the absurdity intelligently.” This balance resulted in a rollercoaster ride that was enjoyable yet avoided slipping into self-parody.
According to The Nightly’s critique, when Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal appear on screen, the confusion of the rest of the movie seems to fade away, making it feel as though less importance is placed on how coherent everything else is.
In “The Accountant 2,” J.K. Simmons reprises his character as Ray, alongside some fresh faces such as Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, Robert Morgan, and Grant Harvey who have joined the cast.
