King of the Hill actor Jonathan Joss’ suspected killer is out of jail on $200K bail following fatal shooting
The individual, Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, who is under suspicion for the fatal shooting of actor Jonathan Joss, known for his roles in King of the Hill and Parks and Recreation, has been released from jail after posting a $200,000 bond.
A few days following his arrest on murder charges, authorities in San Antonio informed TMZ that Alvarez, a neighbor of Joss, is now under home confinement.
He is required to wear an ankle monitor and will ‘undergo random drug and alcohol testing.’
During his detention, Alvarez is also forbidden from possessing firearms.
In San Antonio, Texas, I sadly bid farewell on Sunday, following an unfortunate incident involving Alvarez outside my residence that led to our confrontation. (age and cause of death implied)
Alvarez was captured by law enforcement and booked on suspicion of murder.
According to a report from the San Antonio Police Department, which was acquired by DailyMail.com, Alvarez reportedly said “I shot him” while being apprehended by the officers who made the arrest.
According to a recently released report, new information has surfaced regarding the events leading up to the violent incident. A confidential source claims they transported Joss from Austin to his charred San Antonio residence at approximately 7 pm on June 1st, to pick up his mail.
According to the witness, she stopped her vehicle in the driveway and stayed there as she waited for Joss and another individual to retrieve the mail. Joss’ spouse, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, alleges that he and the actor were together on this trip and present at the time of the murder.
According to the report, she stated that suspect Alvarez drove up in his car alongside hers and parked immediately behind it.
In my recent observations, I apparently witnessed an altercation between Joss and Alvarez through my rearview mirror. According to what I’ve heard, Alvarez threatened Joss, stating that he possessed a firearm and was prepared to use it against him. Subsequently, as per the account, Alvarez is said to have shot Joss.
According to the report I’ve just read, at approximately 7:20 PM, it was confirmed that Joss had passed away on the spot. Shortly after, Alvarez was apprehended by the police and immediately confessed, “I was the one who shot him.” His firearms were then taken into custody.
The report indicates that Alvarez deliberately fired a gun towards Joss, which led to his demise.

Joss’ spouse later asserted that the celebrity’s demise was an act of hate crime due to homophobia, but the police have discredited this hypothesis.
According to a representative from the San Antonio Police Department, contrary to rumors on the internet, the ongoing investigation has yet to uncover any proof suggesting that Mr. Joss’s death was connected to his sexuality.
On the past weekend, Joss, with an impressive following of 9,000 on social media, posted a cheerful video inviting his followers to drop by Tribe Comics and Games in Austin, Texas for a meet-and-greet session.
The most recent role credited to the graduate of Our Lady of the Lake University on IMDb was providing voiceovers for characters in CD Projekt RED’s video game, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, which was released in 2023. This project starred Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba as well.

In addition, Jonathan provided the voice for the character Healing in the animated drama Unplugged by Paul McComas and Holly Trasti, which starred the late Louis Gossett Jr., the late Ed Asner, Christina Ricci, and Jeri Ryan.
However, Joss gained his most significant recognition for providing the voice of John Redcorn, a musician and healer, who had a 14-year-long relationship with news anchor Nancy Hicks-Gribble (Ashley Gardner), on the Fox animated sitcom, between seasons 2 and 13.
On January 23rd, tragedy struck for Jonathan as he lost his cherished canine companions when the house his father constructed in 1957, a place from his childhood, was consumed by flames.
Apart from his loss in the fire, a GoFundMe campaign set up by Logan Kostroun managed to amass an impressive $21,300, surpassing its initial target of $15,000 for Joss’s car replacement costs.

On Monday, neighbors informed TMZ that the reason his home caught fire was because he tried to warm it up using a barbecue grill, following claims that the city had turned off his power after declaring the property unsafe and unfit for habitation.
On a Monday, Tristan Kern de Gonzales’ widow, whom he married on Valentine’s Day, asserted that he was slain following two years of alleged harassment from openly bigoted individuals who supposedly could not tolerate their relationship.
Upon revisiting the location to collect our emails, we found our dog’s skull and harness conspicuously displayed. This heartrending discovery greatly affected us emotionally, as the South Carolinian later recounted on Facebook.
As we went about our actions, a man came up to us, began shouting hateful, anti-gay remarks, and then pulled out a firearm from his lap and discharged it. Notably, Jonathan and I were unarmed at the time.

He added, ‘We weren’t intimidating anyone; we were mourning. We stood united. When that man opened fire, Jonathan shoved me aside. He protected me from harm.’
Tristan stated, “Now, my priority lies in safeguarding Jonathan’s legacy and acknowledging the life we constructed together.
In addition, Jonathan was known for playing the character Chief Ken Hotate over a span of five episodes on NBC’s comedic television series Parks and Recreation, which aired from 2011 to 2015.
Joss had small roles in TV shows like Walker Texas Ranger, Charmed, ER, Ray Donovan and Tulsa King.
Additionally, he appeared in movies such as True Grit, The Magnificent Seven, Pocahontas 2: A New World Adventure, and Johnson Family Road Trip.
