Jodie Comer exudes sophistication in draped black dress as she joins stylish co-star Aaron Taylor-Johnson at photocall for 28 Years Later in Paris

On Wednesday, Jodie Comer and Aaron Taylor-Johnson showcased their exceptional sense of style at a photocall for their upcoming zombie film titled “28 Years Later,” which took place at the Publicis Champs Elysees in Paris.

32-year-old Jodie exuded timeless elegance while adorning a sleek, black gown accented with golden embellishments, featuring an intricate asymmetrical neckline artfully highlighting her slender midriff.

The actress increased her stature by wearing stylish, matching high heels, adorned herself with silver earrings, and added a touch of elegance with cat-eye sunglasses.

In my latest style tip, I found myself admiring a bold, vibrant red V-neck sweater at the age of 34. This eye-catching piece offered a peek at a hint of my well-groomed chest hair beneath.

The popular British figure adorned a stylish white country coat on top, matched it with sleek black tailored pants and polished formal footwear.

He finalized his appearance with an eye-catching Omega watch, following a partnership with the company that supplies watches for the James Bond series. Fans speculated this move might signal his upcoming appointment as the next James Bond.

With a full beard adorning his face, Aaron donned sunglasses tinted for privacy and shared a hearty laugh with Jodie when photographed side by side.

The stars were accompanied by their movie director Danny Boyle, who chose a relaxed style with jeans and a navy zip-up sweater instead.

In a few short weeks, we’ll finally get to see the long-awaited sequel, “28 Years Later,” which has kept fans on edge for two decades, eager to uncover the next chapter in the movie franchise.

Three decades after the Rage virus left the nation in ruins, a fresh movie, out on June 19, delves into the diverse survival strategies that humanity has developed in response.

In my own words, as a devoted follower, I can say that for us, it signifies absolute seclusion from the world beyond. In an upcoming video before the film’s debut, Aaron offers exclusive insights on this fresh element expanding the 28 Days Later universe, marking our first glimpse into it.

On a recently discovered island, aptly named “The Sacred Isle,” its inhabitants live independently, and they venture offshore onto the mainland solely during low tide for hunting purposes.

In the story, Aaron assumes the role of trainer for a character named Jamie, who plays a scavenger. His task involves teaching Spike, another character, how to live and thrive in a dangerous wilderness environment. This preparation is crucial because they plan to undertake a perilous journey together across the mainland.

In a special behind-the-scenes segment, the actor shared some insights about the upcoming Holy Island depicted in the production. He explained, ‘My character belongs to a group who’ve been living on this isolated island for over two decades, cut off from the mainland.’

In their community, there are no physicians or pharmaceuticals; they subsist primarily by cultivating food, with occasional hunting trips restricted to the mainland.

Moreover, it’s important to note that if you decide to depart from the island and do not return, nobody will be sent to search for you. Instead, it is assumed that you may have contracted an infection and perished.

Later on, Aaron shared that it was customary for his character’s son to acquire his father’s hunting abilities as a significant milestone, so they could both manage to live off the land once they left the island.

Simultaneously, Jodie portrays Jamie’s character Isla, who is his wife on screen. At the same time, Ralph Fiennes appears in the movie as Dr. Kelson, a character who has survived the outbreak.

Or

As Jodie plays Jamie’s wife Isla, Ralph Fiennes takes on the role of Dr. Kelson, a survivor from the outbreak, both characters contributing to the film.

The movie takes place on the actual island of Lindisfarne, a place that can be reached via a causeway only when the tide is out.

28 Days Later’s initial movie featured Cillian Murphy portraying a cyclist who regains consciousness after a coma, only to find out that an unintentional virus leak has led to the collapse of human civilization due to its ability to trigger violent behavior.

However, contrary to widespread assumptions that he would return to his original role for this sequel, when the trailer was released in December, it showed a character who bore a striking similarity to Jim, a deceased version of Cillian’s character from the first movie.

Yet, this theory came to a swift halt when it emerged that the London art dealer and model was actually portraying the zombie character.

As a dedicated follower, I’ve been hinting that fans might be fortunate enough to witness the comeback of Cillian, aged 48, in one of the subsequent movies within the trilogy.

At Sony’s 2025 CinemaCon event, the director subtly suggested that, much like other valuable experiences in life, we might need to be patient before seeing Cillian grace the screen.

28 Years Later and its sequel, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, were filmed consecutively under the visionary direction of Nia DaCosta. I’m thrilled to share that you’ll have a chance to witness this cinematic journey starting from January 2026!

Previously, producer Andrew Macdonald had confirmed that Cillian Murphy wouldn’t feature in “28 Years Later,” yet hinted at the possibility of his return for a future movie.

In response to your question, “He conveyed to Empire that we both desired his participation, and he shared this sentiment. He doesn’t appear in the initial film, but I have high hopes that there will be some role for Jim at some point.

He mentioned: ‘Currently, he’s serving as an executive producer, and I anticipate that we might collaborate with him in some capacity for the trilogy in the future.’

28 Years Later, costing approximately $75 million, represents the largest production filmed using an iPhone, continuing the innovative trend set by Apple’s latest television series.

28 Years Later hits UK cinemas on June 19, 2025.
