Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune Finally Get Next-Day Streaming Fix
It’s simple to overlook the abundance of game shows nowadays, considering the numerous series broadcast daily, ranging from old episodes to daily syndicated shows to expensive prime-time shows. At one point, I might have held such an opinion about Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. However, that changed when local sports and weather reports frequently interrupted pre-prime-time programming featuring Ken Jennings and Vanna White. Fortunately, I won’t have to worry about that disturbance for a while.
At last, the wait is over! Sony Pictures TV has officially unveiled the much-anticipated update: starting now, both “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune” will be available for next-day streaming on two distinct platforms. This exciting change means fans can enjoy their favorite shows a day after they air, well before the conclusion of the 2025 TV season!
Jeopardy! And Wheel Of Fortune Are Heading To Peacock And Hulu This Fall
In other words, the days of merely imagining quick trivia and word games are over, folks! Sony Pictures TV has officially confirmed that both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune will have episodes available for streaming the next day. This is great news for Peacock and Hulu subscribers. If only Hulu could acquire re-runs of Pop Culture, it would become a one-stop destination for all your game show needs.

The specific release dates for both shows on the streaming platforms are still unknown, however it has been confirmed that their upcoming seasons will debut under a next-day viewing format.
Absolutely, both Hulu and Peacock will offer more episodes from their existing series collections, but the exact number that will be available isn’t specified yet. It remains unclear whether these new installments will be limited to the latest seasons or include a wider selection of past episodes as well.
This Steraming Deal Will Finally Fix All The Preemption Issues I Have To Deal With
I’ve been eagerly anticipating streaming agreements for Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, as it seems that other programming frequently interrupts their broadcasts. Living outside of Fort Worth, Texas, if someone so much as mentions thunderstorm, all regular programming gets pushed aside.
During a specific period, about 10 to 20 episodes of Jeopardy! were interrupted by severe weather alerts, which is quite a few. Interestingly, I can only recall a handful of instances where it actually rained outside my house during those interruptions. Of course, Dallas/Fort Worth is more than just my neighborhood, but that’s the context we’re considering here. Additionally, there were numerous scrolling news tickers and game-interrupting notifications throughout this period.
Regardless of the sport, any major game featuring a Dallas team tends to cause disruption. I’m grateful that these games are broadcast on CBS rather than ABC, as the latter often airs Dallas Mavericks playoff matches, making it challenging to keep up with prime-time dramas. If only everything could be streamed for next-day viewing.

Subscription to Peacock TV starts at just $7.99 per month or $79.99 annually, offering fans an affordable way to access their favorite content. Upgrade to Peacock Premium for ad-free streaming and the ability to download titles for offline viewing. Check out the deal here!
For the remaining summer episodes (as their season is wrapping up quite quickly), viewers can only catch them during live broadcasts for now. However, starting from September, things will appear differently.
It’s worth noting that it’s not unprecedented for shows like Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune to secure streaming deals. For instance, Celebrity Jeopardy!, Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, and every season of Jeopardy! Masters can be streamed on Hulu the day after their initial broadcasts. Netflix previously held rights to specific collections of episodes from past seasons, such as Teachers Tournaments. Additionally, executive producer Michael Davies was instrumental in creating the first streaming-exclusive version of the quiz show, which is hosted by Colin Jost in Pop Culture Jeopardy!.
Without a doubt, the trails of digital viewership are clearly established for both programs, and it’s worth crossing our fingers that on-demand viewing the following day might bring in extra spectators. This could potentially ignite demands for even more versions of game shows to spring up. Here’s hoping this isn’t just a fleeting dream!
